"Week 4, week 5 tops." 

I tried to buy tickets to the NU/NU game about a month ago and found that it was sold out. That, no doubt, means the Huskers will have half the crowd or more.  Mildcats are used to that, though.  I wish they hadnt won in Lincoln last year, as that will certainly help get the Huskers' full attention.  Tough game. 

I agree on RU.  There will be a time to fade them, but this won't be it.  Another game where the home/away split may be close to even.

I'd like to add Pitt -10.5 in Buffalo...

If the Bulls have neither Oliver or Taylor back from the DL as their RB's the Bulls will get crushed again this weekend...with Zordich their QB being their leading rusher the Bulls are in a big ass mess this weekend coming with a Pitt team that can put up some points...35 last weekend on the Cardinals in a loss...I can't see this Bulls team staying close with Pitt...

Rutgers only has Kent St "on deck" so their full attention will be on Temple.

Temple can beat teams they can the run the ball against (UConn, USF).   In Temple wins, they ran for 200+ yards.  In the losses 100 and 50 yards.

Rutgers has been terrific against the run this year.  Stifle the Temple run, force them to pass, sack the QB, intercept some passes, and Rutgers will win by a wide margin, even if the offense is just average.

I like Rutgers in this game up to -8.    The line opened at 4.5 and moved to 4, I don't think it gets to 3, but it will probably steam to 3.5.  Or it could go to 6.  I think this is the worst Big East matchup for Temple this year...



Love that Temple won last week ... Had a Monster $13 Wager on them ML .... 

The Owls victory drove this line down under a TD IMNHO ... Rutgers has a Very solid BIG east Defense ... this will be a Large wager for me ...

This is balanced by NW having confidence from beating Neb last year on the road.  I think these teams are even.  I would make NW -1 or -2/  Nebraska is not that good a team, if you can slow the run game a little and take away deep balls.  Nebraska's defense is not nearly as strong as previous years.

Nebraska is in a bad spot schedule-wise.  An Ohio St/Michigan sandwich.

This looks like a very talented NW teams who is more tested than Nebraska.  I would not be suprised if NW won 34-17

You would be the only person in the US who wouldn't be surprised if NU-light won 34-17, and that includes Pat Fitzgerald.    Still, I think I'll tail you on it.   NU-light is my new favorite team.  They look like the Math Club with their helmets off; and, in some cases, with them on.

On an unrealted topic, doesn't Stanford sodomize Cal this week?    Perhaps the heartbreaker in South Bend sets up well for the occassionally Sturdy Bears, but this is a game the Tree seems to win for fun of late.

If you bet on Cal, they'll lose 49-3.  But if you bet on Stanford, Cal will win outright.

I don't know how that is possible, but that is how Cal rolls.  

Watch out for Cal RB Bigelow, and Cal CB Steve Williams.  Williams played the best game I have ever seen from a Cal CB last week vs Wash St.  Bigelow reminds me of JJ Arrington.

I am not going to pick a side in this game, just sit back, and hope the good Maynard shows up.

Shouldn't the line be 16+???   This is UB's Super Bowl.  Pitt won't be that interested.  I think the winning margin for Pitt will be 10 to 20 points...not really a play for me, but I would lean Pitt, even with the fishy line.  If the line goes down, then UB becomes a strong play IMO.

If UB has no running game like they did vs N ILL then it's going to be ugly once again...I'm going to be at this game too...I think Pitt is way too strong for this beat up Bulls squad...

Nice looking card Thorpe.  Definitely with ya on a few.  Like Houston (they always seem to kill SMU).. Like Rutgers a lot.  Kent State should get the cash, and I absolutely love Iowa State plus the points and ML.  I think they are the better team here.

This is the best UB game to go to.

Pitt is much better on paper, but UB was "looking ahead" to this game, and No Ill is very tough anyways.  Expect UB to better prepared for this game, and more focused.  Does that cancel out Pitt's edge on talent is the question?

Recap - Air Force vs Wyoming

Wyoming coach accused Air Force of faking an injury.  Wyoming QB Smith was scartched minutes before game started.  Wyoming had a 13 point second half lead, but only lost by 1. 

''In this game we're supposed to be ethical, and that's not ethical,'' Christensen said. ''I don't know what they teach at Air Force, but I'm not going to teach that to my kids. I want my guys to get off the field when they're hurt, and we don't want to stop the game.''

Christensen later questioned whether Dietz was injured, noting the quarterback walked about 20 yards before taking a knee near the Falcons sideline. He said the several minutes that trainers attended to Dietz gave Air Force time to strategize the next play.

UTEP -15.  Tulane got a much needed win last week, and I am sure they are still celebrating.  UTEP has been a huge disappointment.  If they haven't given up on the year, they will beat Tulane by 28

Baylor/Texas Under 80.5  That is too many points for offenses that just score 40 combined points last week.  I am thiking 38-35. 

UAB +3 - SO Miss has a much better record, but this is UAB's first winnable game in a while.

SO Miss -2.5  When an 0-6 team is favored, they are probably going to cover.

Oregon St -10 - Utah has already laid some eggs on the road this year, and Corvalis is always tough.  Utah can't throw the ball, and those kinds of teams are what the Beavers feast on.

UNLV +28.5 - UNLV is a good backdoor cover team, I think they hang around with Boise.  I like this line over 28.

LSU/A&M under 52

A & M scored 59 points by themselves last week, and now the total is only 52?  That tells me to take the Under.

LSU has not scored any points on the road so far this year, because they can't get good QB play.  LSU has a QB rating of 150 at home, and 98 on the road. 

Manziel has been running for a ton of yards ,except for Florida who slowed him down a lot.  LSU has the same or better D Line as Florida, and I see LSU also slowing him down running.  Manziel had a QB rating arounf 125 for Florida and Miss, and I see 100 to 125 for this game.

Both teams will run more than they pass to keep the clock rolling, plus a lot of short passes.

I see around 38 to 45 points in this game.  Maybe 24-21 or 21-17

The key to understand Houston's year is that they have had 2 games where their passing game has been bad, otherwise they generally have QB rating of 150.   Houston Opp QB Rating has improved every week and should be around 100 or betetr vs SMU.

SMU QB rating has been around 70 to 100 this year.  At home on w weeknight. I will give them 110.

Houston has covered easily the last 3 games.  SMU is in disarray after losing to Tulane.  SMU is at home, but Houston will only have a short trip.  Both offenses are QB heavy, Houston has better WRs, and the much better QB, I see my top (?) pick of the week in a weekday game.  

I like it.  Gonna play this one and leave the UofO/ASU game alone.
