Again, I'm not lobbying for either side here.  I'm just talking wagering in general. 

If you cap the game and make BG -4, then you have to take Pitt and the 7 or so points.  Doesn't mean you capped the game correctly, but that's all you have to go on....what the line is compared to what you think the line should be based on your knowledge, research, etc.  

What kills me are the people who think a line should be -150....it's -175....so they bet the -175 because "Vegas must know something."

That means nothing, any .500 sec team including Miss. ST. would likely crush Pitt in a bowl game

people get to set on perception and don't focus on reality, take Christmas Eve for example, to many people were focusing on the 5 straight losses of Oregon State and the fact that they sucked and couldn't play defense, etc. the reality was the Boise coached bailed and these non AQ schools don't play anywhere close to the same schedule. 


You just compared this to Oregon state? ive heard enough. If all you had to do was take the stronger conference. Bookies would get killed. Stop posting dumb stuff.

How much of the public money is on BG? It scary to think that the public is hammering BG. Pitt played a much more difficult schedule, and beat a very good duke team. I think the play is Pitt. NIU's defense is about as solid as liquid poop. Pitt covers in a close game

Why don't you create a thread, when the game starts. Just like your boise one, notifying people they should be worried oregon state might not cover.

Covers91 you are a total moron, I created this thread an easy 8 hours before kick off. The comparison to the Oregon State game was comparing the situations you had 6-6 AQ schools playing top teams from mid major conferences, as I have pointed out in multiple posts throughout this thread (which you clearly haven't read) was that no matter what happened BGSU should have never been favored by 5 to 6 points, there is nothing in previous lines nor in similar recent lines that warrants a top mid major laying darn near a TD.
