Why is Tulsa kicking the extra point?

Why are they not going for 2 with 7 mins left in the game up by 19?

and the craziest thing is they got the penalty moving the ball to the one yard line......... and they still kick to go up by 20?

makes no sense, man was i off on hawaii today.  what an awful 2nd half for those guys.  Their defense actually played real well for one half.

Because you make them get 3 TD's to beat you, not two TD's and a FG which can tie.  Needing only a FG to tie is the reason and the correct play, no need for Tulsa to get cute doing something silly.

Exactly my thoughts...go for 2 and get up 21.  Then, after the penalty, they had a second chance to go for 2 and still didn't.  Makes no sense

Moo - I took Tulsa at HT - couldnt believe that I was getting +7.5 +118.

This was a game (like S Miss) that I feel great for not betting - I was close to betting Hawaii - but just didnt pull the trigger.

Honestly - When I kept hearing "tulsa offense only has 94 yards" I kept getting excited - because nobody was taking in to account that they had very little chances to move the ball because of the INT's - that was reflected in their offensive yardage - and I had a feeling that would effect the HT line....

They were outgained 6.7 - 2.5 yards per play in the 1st half.  Completely went beserk in the 2H against an underrated hawaii defense unexpectedly.  Maybe Hawaii showed their true colors.  You punch in tcu yet?

Yeah - but moo - look at the situations.

Off the top of my head - 2 INTS for TDs.  One punt that left them at the 25.  One INT to the 2 yard line.  And Tulsa fumbled on a play that was either going to be a TD, or on the next play or two. It was a stat mindfuck.

Im in for 3 of my 5 units on TCU - the other 2 were saved for when the line got to 1.5 or so - but apparantly nobody but me got that memo that the line was supposed to go down.

 

I despise both of you (Van and Train), for reasons that are abundantly clear just from your statements here alone, thanks guys (yet alone the bullshit you've spewed over the years)..........yet here I agree w 165 (and thus w Train)......2 TDs, 2 2pts and a FG is easier to achieve than 3 TDs....and that "book" that those moron coaches consult backs this up

I'm stunned you think your're correct.  If it's 12 OK.  But not 19, if you suggested this to any NFL coach they would laugh you off the field.  Now we're chasing points up DD?

Check that, I would only go for 2 if it was 12 and very late in the game.  I wouldn't be doing stupid things like chase points up 12 or 19 in the 3rd quarter.  Your're wrong Van, it's not even up for discussion.  Oh and Merry Christmas.
