I think the top teams in the Big 12 will have the easiest road to the national championship game.
I think the top teams in the PAC 12 will be better than the top teams in the Big 12, but I think it is more likely they will knock each other off. The top teams in the Big 12 will have the clearest path to reaching the title game IMO.

I don't disagree with the match-up, but USC is NOT beating LSU. USC doesn't have anywhere close to enough talent or depth (mainly depth) to hang with LSU for 4 quarters.

LSU Vs. Michigan
Everyone talks about Barkley and USC but has anyone paid attention to Cal's recruiting class. Cal will dominate the PAC 12 in years to come.

In football? Number of Asian kids in student section? Sure. Number of people in student section working on differential equations at halftime? Sure. Number of people who own a vegan coookbook? Sure. Number of students who "occupied" something last summer? Sure. But football?

If LSU can get some quality QB play out of Zach Mettenberger next season, they will be the team to beat IMO.
With the ridiculous amount of talent that Saban continues to stockpile in Tuscaloosa, they will always be a factor even though they'll be replacing most of their defense next season. How much of that defense is still unknown at this time, but suffice to say it'll a significant chunk.
With Alabama returning the best offensive line in the college football virtually intact, if they can find a good offensive coordinator that can mesh with the significant talent Alabama already has on that side of the ball, they should be a very good offensive team.
Complicating things for Alabama is that they will have a significantly more difficult schedule next season.
Whoever wins the game between Alabama and LSU in Baton Rouge next season will most likely win the conference championship and the national championship. Right now I lean LSU.
I still think there is a pretty significant talent disparity between Alabama and LSU versus any non-SEC team they might face in the BCS championship game, so I don't see the SEC run on national championships ending anytime soon.
Arkansas will also be a significant force to be dealt with. IMO they still need to improve in the trenches to knock-off Alabama or LSU however.
I'm not familiar enough with the rosters of other teams outside the SEC yet to make an educated guess as to who will meet the SEC team in the championship game. My guess right now would be the winner of the Big 12 or PAC 10.
I would think that Oregon, USC and maybe Washigton would be the top contenders in the PAC 10.
With Missouri and Texas A&M heading to the SEC, the BIG 12 Conference will be significantly weaker next season. That should help pave the way for someone like Oklahoma to emerge from that conference undefeated.
My early uninformed opinion right now is LSU vs. Oklahoma in the national championship game, with LSU easily beating the Sooners for the national championship.
I will go out on a limb here and say most of USCs players could play for LSU and BAMA.....

When LSU play Georgia in the SEC championship game I said that Georgia had the talent to hang with LSU for a little while, but that they didn't have the depth to hang with them for 4 quarters. Accordingly, I laid the points with LSU.
USC = Georgia - similar talent and no depth.
Comparing USC's roster to Alaba's (becasue I know Alabama's roster the best), they have a handful of guys who would have a shot of playing - Nick Perry, TJ McDonald, Matt Barkley and Robert Woods. That about it.

The team no one is talking about is Florida State. With EJ Manual returning and yet another sick recruiting class, they should take another step forwad next season.
