Now, I will prove that the SEC is the best.

I took all 120 teams and gave them points for their final rankings.  Alabama got 1 point and Western Kentucky got 120 points.  I added up each conference and got the average.  Here are the results:

    SEC  39.8 rank average

    BEC  41.7

    Big 12  48.3

    Big 10  49.2

    Pac 10  50.0

    ACC  51.8

    Ind  57.6

    MWC  60.4

    WAC  72.6

    USA  77.0

    MAC  83.8

    SBC  90.8

I know, I've got way too much time on my hands.

That was Florida's only tough game....if you can even call it that. While I do believe Bama is the best team in the Country, this was a down year for college football. Certain teams had great defenses but no offenses and vice versa. And did you watch the SEC Bowl Games? Auburn should have lost to Northwestern, but a missed FG saved their ass. Then Arkansas should have lossed to East Carolina!! But a few missed FGs saved their asses! The SEC was 2 missed FGs away from being 2-6 in Bowl Games at one point. That is a total freaking joke. IF the conference is so great, they would be killing teams from the Big 12 and teams like East Carolina in their Bowl Games, and NOT squeaking by on a few missed FGs.

People need to seriously get a clue.

This was a bad year in the SEC for teams that were 3 through 10(11 and 12 didn't make bowls). Six, I think, teams that finished with 7-5 regular season records.

The top 2 teams proved they can compete with and beat any team in the country. Making that four titles in a row(if it's five, don't remember the fifth) and five titles won this decade I know. That's damn strong, I don't care where you come from, fact.

That only intensifies the competition level among the conference teams. Same as the 90's, AL and FLA dominated the league(just like now) and the rest of the league pressed hard to catch up to their level. And eventually UT won a title. Same thing here. The pack will catch up. Making the league that much stronger.

one team does not make up a conference yearly, all in all a down year in college football as far as quality teams, bama won by not messing it up with conservative play and excellent defense much like ohio st years ago. It worked in a year like this but no team was like the texas team with vince, florida last year, usc years, or hurricanes

Hey hookem...You are, by far, the biggest douche on here. Your QB is the biggest box to ever play collegiate sports. And technically, by your logic, Texas shouldn't even be playing for the championship. Texas SHOULD'VE lost to an Oklahoma team that they only beat by 3 freakin points without their star QB. Bradford went down in the first series, just like McCoy, but I didn't see all you shorthorn fans saying that Oklahoma should've won. At least Bama still managed to win by double digits. Texas could only beat a Bradfordless OU team by a measly 3 points. Not to mention your squeaker with Nebraska, the same Nebraska that got beat by IOWA FREAKIN STATE.

Bottom line is the SEC went 3-0 against the overrated Big 12, and Bama is hoisting the crystal ball. McCoy's a box, he chose an NFL contract instead of risking his shoulder, and Bama ran all over that vaunted defense. They won, Texas lost, and you are the biggest piece of shit crybaby excuse maker on here.

The Big 10 was, three teams in the top 10, 4 in the top 12. Thats my basis because it has bowl games in there as well as how they finish.

Wisconsin, Iowa beat down "athletic, faster, southern teams" in ga tech and miami

Penn State dominated LSU until late 3rd quarter early fourth and then won, Ohio St beat down a "fast, athletic" Oregon team.

Minnesota should have beat Iowa St but fumbled on the 10 yardline with 1 minute left

Northwestern would have at least forced a second overtime with SEC and 8 point fave Auburn if their kicker was not injured

Sparty played 11 guys short including 4 starters and played in one of the most exciting bowl games and had a chance to win before their meltdown.

Bama beat Texas minus Colt and needed all of their effort to do so

    Lsu lost to penn st

georgia scored a ton on a terrible a and m team and defense

ole miss had the worst and ugliest win i have ever seen over an okie st team missing their best player

    kentucky lost to clemson

    auburn we mentioned

florida dominated as anyone expected a big east conference team that wasnt in the same class and wouldnt be with anyone in the top 5 or 10

    tennessee got dominated

south carolina was dominated by a middle of the road big east team

arkansas needed an east carolina kicker to miss four field goals to win in overtime

dont get worked up about it, they just had a down year although they had a national champion.

In what poll was their 3 big 10 teams in the top 10 and 4 in the top 12? I am looking at the final poll and I see 4 overall in the top 25... SEC  has 4 overall top 25 with the #1 and #3.. .But in all fairness, the polls after #1 mean nothing IMO... After #1-4 you can flipflip those #5-10 all you want, same with #11-20 and 20-25... Big 10 did suprise me during the bowl season though...The ACC ended with 4 teams in the top 25 also, would you rank them up with the SEC and Big 11?? After the top 4 ranking are a popularity contest IMO and that is why we see a lot of teams ranked higher favored over better ranked teams....Vegas should put out the rankings instead of the AP...

What u need to understand is that a football game is 60 minutes not 30....when that clock ends the game is over...

u need to get a clue.
