That is 4 straight titles.  I'm more into lines than the "Ra-Ra" stuff but since its been put out there why not respond.

Any team can win one game, but there is no place where football matters more than in the SEC.

I'm right here. And your SEC team almost got punked by a Freshman QB who was playing HS ball last year.

Your SEC was also 2 missed FGs away from being 3-6 in Bowl Games this year. Not to mention the SEC gets the nod from all these morons to begin with. The morons that say a 12-1 SEC team should go to a national title game over a 12-1 team or even 12-0 team from any other conference. Now be a good boy and go pass out.

You know, I'm not going to say that they aren't the best football conference, but I will say that they are VERY overrated! Especially this season. Florida ran through their schedule while playing ONE ranked team all year, and that was LSU. An LSU team that had the 70th ranked offense in the Country. That was Florida's only tough game....if you can even call it that. While I do believe Bama is the best team in the Country, this was a down year for college football. Certain teams had great defenses but no offenses and vice versa. And did you watch the SEC Bowl Games? Auburn should have lost to Northwestern, but a missed FG saved their ass. Then Arkansas should have lossed to East Carolina!! But a few missed FGs saved their asses! The SEC was 2 missed FGs away from being 2-6 in Bowl Games at one point. That is a total freaking joke. IF the conference is so great, they would be killing teams from the Big 12 and teams like East Carolina in their Bowl Games, and NOT squeaking by on a few missed FGs.

People need to seriously get a clue.

If your aunt had nuts, she would be your uncle.

I don't understand how anyone with football sense can look at the conferences top to bottom and allow their inferiority complex to take over. C'mon man.

The SEC has won 6 out of the 12 BCS Championship games.

I still can't believe people will say the SEC isn't the dominate conference.

I guess the other 5 BCS conferences just have bad luck while the SEC is just "lucky."

no ones saying anything about prior years sec redneck.  you dont think that you are fortunate when in your 2 biggest bowl games this year the best coach in the country leaves his team high and dry, and in the other the winningest college qb ever gets knocked out on the first series? sounds pretty LUCKY to me.

texas wins in a walkoff if mccoy plays.  only sec fans can't see this.  SEC has certainly put some teams in the championship and no one can deny that record. Does it seem a little suspicious that in the "toughest" conference, a conference that is so tough from top to bottom, that this year there were 2 undefeated teams in the SEC after the regular season?  Was there any other conference in the country with 2 undefeated teams?  I dont think so.  Good conference, no doubt, but the most dominant i'm not so sure.  Kentucky, Tennessee, South Carolina all lost to "inferior" conferences.  Auburn, Arkansas, Ole Miss probably should have lost.  Please don't consider the conference the best because of 2 teams.  Again-Texas in a walkoff if McCoy plays.  why can't anyone see this.  Was i the only one watching the game last night?

The only reason Florida and Alabama go undefeated is because they play no one during the regular season.  Easy going undefeated in lackluster conference.

I guess you are trying to say that the Mountain West is the best conference because of all the bowl games they won (without mentioning their cupcake schedules).  SEC for me even if they did have a down year.  Only ended with the two top teams in the country???  Surely Florida will be #2.  Good luck on your NFL plays.  Take Green Bay this weekend, IMO.

The Sec is the most dominant conf of the choices. Yes in total the conf was down this year but on the other hand another National Championship with if not for Bama beating Florida. It would be Florida taking the trophy. Guys don't be fooled by McCoy not playing,it's because he got knocked out of the game SEC Defense. Gilbert came in and had some moments but Bama did let up that's if you were watching you would have known that.

AS far as the rest of the SEC.

    ARK: should of lost

AUB : up 14 twice in the game

Ole Miss: tight game could of went either way But SEC Defense put them ahead

    FL:  dominated Cinn

Tenn: got drug up and down the field

LSU: another close one at the end

    Geo: dominated

Bama: Champs what else is their to say

SO Car: got drug just like Tenn

ALL in all still the toughest Conf

4 str8 and I have no problem with Fla, LSU, and Bama.  They were the best teams those years.  All major conferences as a whole, are more similiar though.

Last year, Fla, OU, and TX were the best teams last year.. Fla was the best team and (other than Ole Miss) STEAM ROLLED the SEC teams (look up those scores, wow).

This year Bama, Fla, and TX were tops... The rest of the SEC wasn't anything special, and showed worse than others.

No matter what, you don't want to go play at:  Fla, Bama, Geo, LSU, Tenn..... Neb, OU, TX, TA&M, CU, ... Ohio St, Mich, PenSt.. USC, ORE, Wash, UCLA .. FlaSt, MiaFl, VT, ...  Even when these teams you don't feel a cake-walk coming.

And sure, the OkieState, TTech (w/out Leach won't be the same), AUB, Arky, Mizz, Iowa, Wisky, ASU, Cal, NCst, SCar, Ole Miss, KanSt, Purdue, MichSt, .... these teams will all cycle good teams and compete, and they'll all have 'their' years... But many of these teams good years, are bad years for the teams listed first.

So in lieu, Congrats to Bama... and most conferences overall are more similiar then most think

Pretty impressive now that they have strung 4 in a row together. But on a whole the lesser teams of the conference did not fair  as well ATS this bowl season.

I think you are the moron. One player does not make a team. Texas would have lost either way. McElroy's broken rib didn't allow for Bama to pass as much as they would have like, or else the score would have resembled the Fla-Cin game.

You are too emotional, which is why you lose. Placing bets with you heart, not you head.

    The Facts are these:

The SEC has sent 4 different teams to the NC game and won.
SEC record is 6-0 in national championship games.
SEC sends more players to the NFL than any other conference.

Better players. Better coaches. SEC...the BEST conference. Just facts.

I will prove that the SEC isn't that good, then I will prove it's the best.

Let's take a look at the 120 teams.  Who got into the top 25%.  For those of you south of the education line, that's the top 30 teams.

The SEC only had 4 of 12 teams in the top 30.  That's just 33.3%

    MWC  3 of 9 = 33.3%

    ACC  4 of 12 = 33.3%

    Big 10  4 of 11 = 36.3%

    BEC  3 of 8 = 37.5%

    Pac 10  4 of 10 = 40.0%

    Big 12  5 of 12 = 41.6%

There is your proof that the SEC ain't so hot.
