You know to take SMU +4
 
Rice
•       0-8 SU when playing in the 1st month of the season the last 2 years
•       0-4 SU & ATS as a favorite over the last 2 seasons
•       2-7 SU when the total posted is 63 points or higher
•       Allowed an average of 42 ppg on defense & 511 yards a game last year
 
 
Every one on Mia(OH) yesterday...LOL had how did that turn out??

Rice is 11-3 ATS in their last 14 conference games
Home team is 10-2 ATS in last 12 in this series
SMU is 0-6 in their last 6 at Rice

miraclemike1 - IMO no it doesn't seem to good to be true.  The line is a direct reflection of June Jones going to SMU and the public only knows June Jones from Hawaii and with Colt.  The spread offense he runs coupled with the fact that Rice has no idea how to play defense (as you stated 42 ppg last year) has people in love with SMU in this spot.  But, the fact remains that SMU is a 1 win team from last year and they are riding a 10 game losing streak into Rice where they are 0-6 ATS in their last 6.  Rice will score, you can flat out count on that.  SMU will also put points on the board, but there is no way thay can match TD for TD with Rice.  Starting 2 Freshman at QB under a new system means they will have offensive series where they look confused and out of sync.  Rice covers this one and this game also goes OVER the total.  BOL with whatever you play my friend, but in my humbe opinion, Rice is the play.

Unfortunately for you, college football graduates players and often hires new coaches with new offensive and defensives philosophies/strategies which mean nothing about what has been done in the past.

Coming to you VIA  laptop. I'm at the game. SMU QB'S SUCK. They are true freshman, and one is a local kid who played his ball down I-10 in Katy,TX. Won state championship, but did not choose to go to SMU because he could go elsewhere. Went their cause of talent. Has Weak arm. Doesn't know system. Looked bad in Warm-ups. Rice, and Rice BIG. Gotto go, the guys laptop I'm using keeps looking at me.

I'm unloading on rice.  wanted to on temple with didn't have the balls and now they're obviously the play.  Wanted to pound troy last night and wussed out then too.  Here goes.  2500 to win 2000 at -3.

remember when said WEAK ARM. How was that throw in the 3rd about 10 yards too short that was int., ran down to goal line. Then Rice scored. 42-20
