I had Air Force also!  That was a big swing game for me last week.  Later that night Stanford/Wash over 54 - 38 pts at half and then only combined 10 points in the second ending with the Washington RB being stopped at the 1 yard line twice to end the game.

Well mine was Lebron and the Cavs taking on the Bobcats, i bet 7 units on the ML. The cavs were up by 15 going into the last quarter. With like 30 seconds the Cavs were up by 5 i beleive, and ended up losing on a Lebron last second shot. It was the first time i had a lot of money in my bank, and i was shell shocked, i didnt know what to do. I just sat at the computer and didnt think it was real.

Years ago, when Warren Moon and Jim Kelly.  Playoff game.  Houston was routing the fuck out of Buffalo.  Me and my broke and just out of college roomies placed our biggest wagers ever (not much- $150, but it didn't take much to hurt back then).
 
We were slapping high 5's and partying our asses off...only to watch the Bills come allllllllllllll the way back and nail us.
 
We've never jinxed a game like that since.

nothing is worst than a few years back when st louis playing tampa bay on monday night... i had st louis -3.. losing the whole way kurt warner took it down late in the 4th quarter for a touchdown to lead by 4.. a little over 2 min left.. kickoff.. had tampa pinned in, 3rd and 23.. and of course they convert.. then had them 3rd and 19.. and st louis had shawn king sacked behind the line and spun him around twice and somehow it sees warrick dunn and pitches to him and dunn runs for a 1st down.. then king passes deep and a dude that havent caught a pass all year makes an amazing jump catch and keeping both feet in bounds on the 2 yd line... then next play dunn runs it in for a TD... biggest bet of my carrer at that time.. i had 3k on rams..

the next worst beat had to be when tampa played indy on monday night and tampa up by 21 with a little over 4 min left in game and lost the game...

im sure everyone have to remember those 2 games!!!  and of course i was on the tampa.. had 3k on that 1 too...

i'm with calbear- pitt vs sd, polamalu td return...meaningless to the outcome of the game, no time left on the clock, but refs took 5 minutes to review it after the game had ended. of course even after all that deliberation they got it wrong and overturned the td. only time i've ever thought there was foul play on any of my bets.

Wide right certainly sucked alot. But losing that fourth one, (for a ton of cash), was the worst. I have often wondered whether J Kelley and T. Thomas, and B. Smith, and the M. Levey, as well as all the great players on those teams get as sick as I do thinking about those 4 losses....

i was actually on stanford on that one. i could not believe my effin' eyes. definitely a really funny college football moment unless you were on usc.

other than the polamalu cheat, these are all beats that i take 10 times per week. that's the nature of sports betting. last month in baseball i had closers blow 31 9th inning leads for me, closers blew ONE save for teams i bet against (and i was betting AGAINST some BAD closers i.e. leo  nunez etc)

obviously i was on air force and west virginia this past week, just looking for the newest, most ridiculous way to get fucked. had over 10k on the mnf 2nd half over, of course they cant punch the ball in from the 1 yard over and over again, have a touchdown called back, and delholmme obv fumbles when they're driving at the end of the game, etc all to miss by 1 point

was in NHL last year $2,000 on the dirty Islanders...up 4-1 on the canadians with 10mins left in the 3rd period and then the dirty canadians scored 4 goals in 10mins to win...sucks
 
and also Ball St last year in the bowl game against Tulsa. when they fumbled like 4+ times and just got routed...dirty times

Had a 8 team parlay that was paying out 20k and won all 7 games but the Sunday night game, Oakland at Denver... This was like 4 years ago when Denver was good and Oakland was shit... I had Denver ML and had the win in the bag....Last drive, snowing and all Denver had to do was kick a 38 yard FG for the win.... They missed and it went to OT... Oakland got the ball drove down and hit the game winning FG.... I was sick to my stomach.....Never have gotten over that one...

last year after i had a great weekend in College and pro, winning about 25 units in 2 days, including a 6-teamer in NFL... this capped a 2 month start to the season where i didn't have a single losing weekend, and was up 90+ units in 7 weeks...
 
the 8th week i bet a 4-team ML parlay and a 3-team ML parlay... both of those had Texas on them... Texas was playing Tx Tech... the last two plays of the game...
 
1) Tx Tech throws a pass that is tipped into the air, and the DB has an easy INT... with only 1 game left on both parlays, i was looking at another 15+ unit winning day... DB drops it...
 
2) next play is the play of the year in CFB... Crabtree catches the pass for the TD and the big win... instead of winning 15 units, i lost 10 units...
 
that led to a streak of 3 or 4 straight losing weekends where i gave back 30 of the 90 units i had won... i still can't believe that DB dropped it!

I remember this game...Denver was like an 11 pt fav at least...but what I remember most was Curry making an incredible catch in the back of the end zone.  This game was crazy and if it cost me 20K I don't know what I'd do....I'm glad your still around.

Yea - these are all some sick beats for sure.
I have definitely had my fair share of sick beats as well in my lifetime.  But the worst is going 9/10 on a $5 parlay.  I like to play them just to hit the big hitters (about $5k from a $5 investment usually) along with my other big money bets.  In the last month, I have had at least 7 that hit 9/10.  The worst was when I took a $10 ten-teamer a few years ago and it was loaded with ML dogs.  I had hit 9/9 and was going into the last game where I had someone against LSU (don't really remember all the details) but LSU converted on a 4th and 33 with a TD pass to win the game and cover the spread with like a minute left.  Cost me $22k from a $10 bet!!  I swore them off forever, but here I am still betting them every week.  Just to be fair though, I have hit at least two dozen or so over the years too -- so I can't really complain.......
 
But damn it hurts sometime.......
