Good news bad news week this past week. Good news, I hit my largest wager in a few years with 5 units on Clemson. Bad news, I went 5 - 9 overall for the week having my worst week of the year losing 6.5 units. But, I m still up over 25 units for the year and need to focus on the upcoming games.



Ten Things We Learned

1. Isn't it fun to watch Oregon run up and down the field like there playing back yard football. Only problem with this is, They don't play defense. watch and see when these guys go on the road. I guarantee they don't go undefeated. 
2. Michigan S.T is that team who IMO, gets it. This team is mature on both sides of the football and are overall a solid team. If they can get by Iowa this week, they may run the table and become a late dark horse national contender.
   
3. What the hell happened in Morgantown W.V yesterday? Can somebody please explain to me how West By God Virginia got shutout for the last 3 quarters against Syracuse!!! Not shutout vs a Ohio S.T or a Alabama or a team like that....but against Syracuse. Wow, all that talent and it seems to go to waste every year.
4. Hey Texas...hows it going? What!!!! you got beat by Iowa S.T!!!! What!!! hey Mac, it might be time for that farewell tour.
5. Was I like the only person that new Navy was going to destroy N.D yesterday... But the funny thing is, I didn't' bet the game. Fuck me...
6. Gotta give my boys from Clemson a little plug yesterday. anybody need a blueprint on how to stop the option? Watch the game from yesterday. Clemson, as predicted from yours truly laid a smack down on Paul Johnson and G.T that they haven't had in a long time. Good job men.
7. Congratulations to Robert Griffen and Baylor. This is what makes college football so good. This team has been on the verge for so long and now it's all paid off.
8. I love how everyone at the first of the year just laughed when a few of us said Auburn was going to be good. How about now? You think there any good now? How about that freak playing QB? You think he's any good? Oh yeah, just another over 200 yds rushing from him. If you haven't got your Heisman list with him on top, throw it away.
9. Let's talk about a good story. It's called Western Kentucky, they won yesterday and from what I hear there still burning couches up there. Now let's talk about a bad story, it's called the University of Tennessee. LMAO, are these guys going to beat Vandy this season? Hell Dooley is still worrying about if his guys can wash their own asses still.
10. Another Top team goes down. Oklahoma can still reach the title game but will now need a lot of  help on the way. Is Missouri a legit national contender team? No, but I think defensively there solid. I just can't see Frankenstein ( Gabbert )  leading any team to the promise land.

Don't worry, I didn't forget my weekly spill on Les Miles. This guy never seems to amaze me. I swear I think this guy is a little slow. He just looks like a damn retard standing on the sidelines. At times I think doesn't he even know where he is or what he is doing. Yesterday he looked at one of his coaches and said hey, what down is it. How many of you would like to bet this guy can't even spell Louisiana?

Big week for me Keep it coming Boom. Clemson was

1)  I agree that The Ducks lose a game.  Their defense is below average.

2)  Mich St. is a hard team to root against.

3)  I don't know what happened in Morgantown.  Obviously Syracuse is back from the CFB wasteland, but I don't think that game is an indication of anything.  I don't think Syracuse is as good as they showed Sat...while I'm sure WVU ain't as bad as they played yesterday.

4)  This TX squad is one of the most perplexing teams in the history of the game.  Throw this season out...I'd bet they are in the mix next season.

5)  You know I'm not a ND fan.  More accurately, I'm not a fan of the ND fans.  I was shocked by this outcome.  I thought this would be a close game.  I thought ND was bit further along at this point in the Kelly era...obviously they are not.  I've felt all year that they are an average team at best.  Now I'm thinking that assessment might be overvalued at this time. 

6)  Great performance by Clemson.

7)  The whole Baylor athletic program has experienced a resurgence in the last decade.  In foots and hoops, teams can no longer count Baylor as an automatic win. 

8)  I agree with your Auburn comments.  Cam Newton has proven to be everything Denard Robinson and Taylor Martinez are not...A TRUE HEISMAN CANDIDATE.

9)  I really don't have a Hilltoppers comment,  other than  I think they have a shot to beat N. Texas this week.

10)  I learned very little about Mizzou in the OU game.  Without taking away from the Tigers great win, OU's self-destruction and lack of poise were the story of that game, more so than any  performance by Mizzou.  I still feel that Mizzou is just slightly better than Baylor...which is good, but nowhere near talk of a National contender.  Any computer that had OU as # 1 in the country should be dismantled for parts.  What do you think Alabama would do to OU???

2)  Mich St. is a hard team to root against.

that was the greatest "Lazarus" I have seen in years. that fake punt first down followed by a TD with 2 minutes to go THEN with everyone with MSU -5 1/2 ready to do a "ticket tear", Edwin Baker's unreal run carrying NW players on his back to cover.

just one thing, though, for next week @ Iowa. MSU's secondary was completely LOST in the first half @ NW. they couldn't stop obvious 3rd and long passing plays and IF they don't get THAT straightend out this week, thay will get BOMBED by Stanzi and the Hawks next week.

            Unless Stanzi and the Hawkeye team, have a tremendous "bounce back" don't see that offense striking terror into any solid defense, much less, Spartys. The whole MSU team, not just their def backfield, looked lost in the first half, and played like a team making it's first out of state road trip.  Consecutive conference wins and the "hangover effect" it had on them showed.        Sparty indeed has a chance in this game, and can't wait to see the line in this game. Seems this isn't your Spartan team of old as coach D'Antonio has these kids believing. Bet that all the other top teams in the Big 10 will be rooting for Iowa, and all the pressure will be on the Hawkeyes, not Sparty.

Sounds a whole lot like someone who is still licking their wounds after losing cash on NWU.

I'm definitely not playing the MSU/Iowa game.  There will certainly be easier spots on the board. 

I'm not a MSU fan...or a fan of anyone for that matter, aside from my own cash.  Shit, I'd be against my mother in a three legged race, at a family picnic if it made me a dollar. 

My point is that, for an unbiased fan of CFB, MSU is a likeable team...very easy to root for on a week by week basis.  (I guess unless you are holding a losing NWU ticket!!!)

Good Thoughts

As much as I like the Auburn story, I think they face some real danger this week - even though Ole Miss isn't the same looking team they used to be.  Two dangerous QB's.

Point #1.  Oregon will not go undefeated, I completely agree.  Have you seen their remaining schedule?  Christ.  They have five pac-10 teams in a row...and it is not the cupcakes of that conference either.

Thoughts on the Oregon / USC Over/Under?  This game will easily go into the 60's or higher.  Wonder where they'll set the line.

Also, leaning Oregon St. -3, Auburn -7, & Louisville +11.  Any thoughts on these??
