Damn it.  "isn't" = "hasn't"

Anyways, I like BC this week Wahoo.  Don't think I'm with or against any others.

Good luck this week.

not only are his stats much better, his SOS is better and he will be drafted way head of the other two, Christian Ponder will play in the NFL

Come on......stats.  Really?  He plays in the ACC.  There isn't a team in that conference outside of VT that plays defense.  None.  If we are using pro potential, I can spin that one for you.  You seem to hate Jevan, and there is zero chance Ponder would be taken before him.  ZERO.

To compare the competition he plays against to that of the SEC, Big 12, PAC 10 guys is crazy.  Im not saying the kid isn't a good player, but he isn't close to the best QB in the country.

to disagree with my opinion is not a crime, I don't hate Jevan either, I just know what I see on the field

I have two Ole Miss fans that live by me here in Houston, they are the typical racist rednecks from Mississippi, all summer they told me how good that kid is and that he would be drafted as the first QB to come out this season, just look at Jevan's stats vs. SEC teams this season, it isn't hard to realize that he has played poorly and isn't close to being the top QB taken next season

as far as comparing him to Ponder, I think you will see that Ponder will be much more successful at the NFL level, he is more accurate than Jevan, he can run much better and he doesn't panic in the pocket

I really don't hate Jevan, I was just expecting much more from him after watching ESPN and other networks tout him all summer, the kid has had one solid half of a season last year, he is decent but nothing more, he isn't accurate and he doesn't read defenses well, he does have nice arm strength and cool hair, but it takes much more than that to play in the NFL

Ponder is better than Snead, his stats are better in college and his NFL stats will be better as well, he will probably stay at FSU so we won't get to see who is drafted first but I can assure you that your boy Jevan's stock has fallen a great deal

Ponder may not be the best college QB in the country, you are right about that, it is probably Jake Locker to be honest

NFL teams want guys that can throw accurate, have good arm strength, good pocket awareness, the ability to read defenses and not panic under pressure and the ability to run on a busted play to get a 1st down

Ponder and Locker can do all of those, Snead can do one of those

I don't hate Snead, I just call it like it I see it bro

I really don't like getting into every week with you Ole Miss fans which is why I don't include Jevan in my rants any longer, but if you guys continue to bring him up then you leave me no choice, I have tried to avoid this the last couple of weeks and have no interest in bickering over Jevan each week, if you guys like him, that is just great

I'm done with this conversation, please avoid my threads unless you want to discuss games, I would be happy to talk about games or lines with you, that is it

thanks

.

I'm done with this conversation, please avoid my threads unless you want to discuss games, I would be happy to talk about games or lines with you, that is it

thanks

Good luck this week, I can't believe the piss-poor showings by Kansas and Michigan on Saturday.  I really thought both of them had excellent shots at winning SU, and they both get annihilated.  DickRod is so shady, he probably had one of his Costa Rican drug kingpins place a "half a mil" on Penn State for him

If you don’t want to bitch about Snead anymore, fine.  But don’t pretend you’re doing it to avoid a confrontation.  You’re doing it because, quite simply, there is nothing to bitch about.  In the past two games he is 37 for 55 (67%), has 572 passing yards, 6 TDs, 2 INTs, and the Rebels had 1,054 yards of offense. If he has a bad game @ Auburn (and I don't think he will) I'm sure you'll be back at it.

Don't think of it as betting on Snead...think of it as not betting on the other team..hahaha. I will most likely be doing the same thing, hey making money is making money and thats what I root for.

or betting on the fact that McCluster is the reason they are winning...or won against arkansas

Ponder is a great QB, still has another year and will be great in the NFL.

Just like Cutler and Stafford...overlooked by alot of ppl because of there schools but were great and now are starters looking to do great things.

Tebow? Well he is a GREAT PLAYER..just dont know how much of a TRUE QB he is.

Snead...well I wont touch Snead bc to many of you worship an average QB. Like some ppl here who don't post about him when he is blowing it, but as soon as Ole Miss wins, ya'll are all over the forum talking trash. Please look at his season, not just at a game against a lowly Arkansas D.

trust me, I'm done with Jevan Snead rants, it isn't worth my time to bicker about his lack of production with a bunch of freakin' Ole Miss fans (most of who can't carry on a normal conversation unless it has to do with the latest KKK rally, deer rifles, shotgun shells or the newest pickup trucks on the market) I do appreciate the fact that you make a point to respond to my threads each week though....I have missed you the last couple of weeks StraightShooter, it is always a pleasure

Whats up WahooS?  First off wanted to sat congrats on the comeback!

Also if you have a moment wanted to get your thoughts on 2 games that stood out to me.

1.  Oregon + 3 vs. USC:  Personally I think this is a great spot for the Ducks in front of their home crowd with a chance to basically put a strangle hold on the PAC 10.  While USC may be the better team I think Oregon has been improving each game and USC def. showed some vulnerability on D this past week.

2.  Georgia + 16 COCKTAIL BOWL:  Florida's offense has not been clicking as of late and if there is any game this year that UGA brings their A game for it will be this one.  With the exception of last year's rout this game is usually relatively close and with that many points I see the backdoor being wide open on this one.

Always appreciate your thoughts and insight if you have a moment.

Thanks and BOL this week

  6. Oreg St. - 8.5

I was thinking about a play on Southern Miss but the line came out and I couldn't believe it was so low, I was sure it would be 11ish, I think Southern Miss can play with them but the SMiss defense won't stop them from scoring

will not be touching the USC/Oregon game this week, that will be a great game to watch, I don't have much of an opinion on the outcome as of now, eager to watch the both coaches at the press conference

I really want to lean UGA but Joe Cox is like Jevan Snead when my money is on him, they are both going to be the death of me, I did back Ole Miss this week so I might as well add UGA and go 0-2 with those superstar QB's

UGA's defense has played poorly this season, this could be a get well for Florida, I just don't know about that game right now but I'm suprised at the spread, I was predicting it would come out at 12.5

I was clearly wrong

Wahoo...I'm going to look into alot of your plays on that card and hopefully I see something I like. Right now I like the Cincy, GT, and Idaho games.

On a Snead note Wahoo, Arkansas is 105 in Total defense -112 against the Pass in the nation. UAB is 115 in Total defense and 120 against the Pass. I am SOOOO GLADD for SNEAD that he DID WHAT EVERYBODY EXPECTS him to do against SADD defenses. Doesn't everybody pick apart SAD defenses?

Bottom line Snead has the most INTS in the SEC, and is basically in the bottom half of every category in the SEC. How many great QB's does the SEC have again? Either way, he SHOULD be in the top 5 in every category but he fails to impress and until he does something against a great team, I wont be impressed.

With two shaky Qb's and Auburn not knowing which was is up lately - I don't know if I can put any serious money on Ole Miss either, I might just leave the game alone.

BOL Wahoo. I know rednecks are hard headed, but facts are facts and thats all I pointed out here.

It’s clear you have a personal vendetta against Ole Miss and/or you have never been to the Grove because it’s blindingly obvious you don’t have a clue on what you are blathering about.  Either way, good luck on the rest of the season. Keep up the great work.

not sure why the post above got messed

I have actually been to the grove several times, I dated a girl from Ole Miss for a while in college, she was one of the best looking girls I have ever seen, the grove was full of them, that school could compete with alot of others when comparing good looking women

however, most of the state is full of white trash, that doesn't mean you are, that doesn't mean everyone is, I just know how most of the fans and people from the state of Miss were that I met, I don't what the state stands for in general, don't have a personal vendetta, just don't like Mississippi
