The big difference is that there was no love for Maryland last year, this year there is no love for Stanford...
AMD is one of the only cappers in this forum picking Stanford in this game.
So what does that mean?? How many people on covers were on MN and Illinois last week?? Stanford is the better team, the only thing going against them is the travel across the country, in which I believe their talent and coaching will make up for it.
If you are going to base your opinions strictly off the posts you read in these forums, you might as well just bet all the public favs.
Stanford wins this game handily outright and moves to 2-0.

been looking at that LSU pick, myself... i don't think they are as bad as they looked last week, and betting Vandy isn't as good as they were last year...

Everyone in this forum is on Wake for obvious reasons. Skinner could have a huge day against a young and inexperienced Cardinal secondary. Luck is also young and is facing a talented group in Wake's secondary. Stanford is playing at 9 am PST....I realize the challenges that Stanford faces. However, I'm taking Stanford because I think Stanford's offensive line is good enough to control the line of scrimmage thus keeping Boo Robinson in check. Toby Gerhart is a productive, hard nose runner and I like Stanford to control the clock by running the ball. Luck won't be asked to win the game as he just needs to keep from making crucial mistakes. He has a great receiver in Chris Owusu who can spread the field. And remember, Baylor did run the ball well against Wake. If Stanford can keep Wake's receivers in front of them and limit Wake's big plays, I believe Stanford has a great chance to win the game so why not take the points? The line has stayed steady at 3 all week...why is that?

amd, what are your thoughts on iowa-ISU. The series has traditionally been unpredictable, so taking the points seems like a nice proposition.
Hey buddy, thanks for the post. I took Iowa because it's a mismatch on the line of scrimmage. Iowa's offensive line should handle ISU's defensive line allowing a suspect Iowa running game to be successful today. Iowa State will certainly test Iowa's D with their spread offense but I'm fading QB Arnaud and his receiving tandem...they are average at best.
