First losing week in a long time. Western Michigan turned it over 5 times and could not get the job done in the redzone and still only lost by 5. Sometimes shit happens but whatever, time to move on to this week.
Some thoughts:
I had a bunch of fun watching Johnny Football this week. That kid is dynamite and I never envisioned A+M beating Alabama. I could see Alabama playing a poor game and losing, but not A+M just straight up taking it to them in Tuscaloosa. Props to Johnny and Sumlin, hell of a win
Which leads to me how upset I am that Oregon did not get the chance to expose Alabama like the Aggies did. People may have been able to argue that Oregon wouldnt score at will against Bama before last week, but now? Only a true Bama/SEC homer could even begin to argue that point
Kansas St continues to roll on. Good luck to the shit defenses that Baylor and Texas are going to put together to try to stop Optimus Klein and co. Welcome to the BCS championship game Kansas St.
There is really nothing I can say about Notre Dame. They play 3 schools all season that would have a pulse so they are almost impossible to gauge. Title contender? Sure. Join a conference and I'll be much more impressed
What the hell is it with the MAC turning into a defensive conference? I remember the good ole days when I would bet the MAC games over and laugh all the way to the bank. Some shady shit going on. There is not a team in the MAC that has a good passing defense and yet every team tries to run the ball more than half the game. Depressing.
How many bad teams are there in college football in general? I would say there are maybe 10 good teams and then 40 I could argue for to be 11-50 and not care where I placed them. I hope we see a few more teams step up next season.
