if there QB wynn stays healthy, they should represent the Pac 12 south in the title game...
reasons as to why this is....
1. 5 conferance Home games as opposed to only 4 on the road...
2. the 2 pac 12 teams they dont play this year happen to be Oregon and Stanford...
3. They play Arizona St in Salt Lake City
4. USC cannot represent the south in the Conf. title game...
everything and i mean everything is in there favor to win the south.. I really think they will take advantage of this gift larry scott has given them in there first year in the conferance... they could very well wind up playing the title game at there own house if it works out perfectly...
if they beat USC in week 2, then i think its pretty much theres...

Utah willbe lucky to not finish in the cellar. 80% of their wins last yr were against scrub teams. When they finally started playing someone they lost them all. They are going to have to improve just to win 8 games this yr.

your missing the point BUD.... they dont play any elite teams in the pac 12 this year, besides USC..... and they dont qualify for the pac 12 title game... Did you not even read my post??
Utes will be lucky not to finish in the cellar??? get your head checked kid..

Even with their favorable schedule I can't see them finishing any better than 5-4 in P10..........which may be good enough to win the south (minus USC)............just depends on who they lose to. They could also finish 2-7 if they get no breaks.

Well, it could happen...but I do think it would def take some breaks going their way.
I have been a big MWC fan (betting purposes) in the past so I have watched alot of their games and have really been dissapointed in Utah lately. And I am not sold on this Utah squad, but they will be decent. Given USC can't win it and their easy street schedule...they do have an outside shot. However, I would have to go with Arid_Torpor and pick Arizona State as the winner.

keep this shit quiet please.....everybody seems to feel Utes will be down .........unless they enter SEC....and/or Whittingham leaves....don't think so
It is better to be feared - than to be loved.

I like Utah Utes to win in Pac-12 South because Norm Chow already install powerhouse offense. Urban Meyer visiting there and talking to Jordan Wynn. Jordan Wynn knew he took his advice and he will help Utah Utes to lead Pac-12 South. also It could be BCS again too if Utah Utes would go to undefeated this year. hopefully they will!! Go! Utah Utes!

I think Utah going to be pretty good.. should represent the P12 South with SC not eligible..
Not sure y all the love for ASU.. never seen a team lose so many different ways LY + only 12 starters back + new QB + Erickson as coach..
Agree about ASU although I love their MLB Burfict, Im curious how many personal fouls he had last year. I swear twice on 1 drive he commited boneheaded roughness calls on 3rd down. He needs to learn to control his aggression.

That Week 2 game is huuuuge (I know USC can't represent but Utes could use that early win for separation from ASU , UCLA etc. With Montana State as the opener I guarantee that welcome to the PAC 10 game is circled
Personally I have USC 1, Utah 2 and ASU 3 in the South ...there is some talent on deck for the Utes despite lack of returning starters. The D will rely on some touted JUCO transfers on all 3 levels, and I think we all agree that Whittingham will be/is an upper echelon coach in that league
Utah will be dangerous and with the "easy" sched I think they will be right up there

yeah i cant seem to figure out why some people are down on the utes, and up on arizona st?? like ASU has ever been reliable...
people..... with USC disqualified, and utah not having to play oregon or stanford this year, all they have to do is beat out asu, arizona, ucla, and colorado...... and they get ASU at home... why is it such a stretch that they cant beat out those teams??????????
im not saying it is a slam dunk, but i would much rather favor the utes in the south with that schedule setup then anyone else in that division...

Utah's performance correlated directly to the strength of opponent last season. Bad teams they won big, decent teams maybe 25th-50th, they played close, and top 25 they got crushed. How is this team winning a BCS conference, and Undefeated? I needed a good laugh.

Utah is very very soft. If they went to the Big 12 instead of Pac 12 they might lose every conference game. Wynn is good but if you hit him hard he will start to suck. The schedule works in their favor but I can see them losing a few shootouts. Everyone has a shot against them IMO.
