+26.5 .... Gotta love it when Vegas hands out Charity.
1 - They haven't allowed a quarterback sack all season...they are one of two teams that can say that...Kentucky is the only other team and they've played just two games. Pretty impressive...considering they've played LSU and Kansas State.
2 -In last week's LSU game they only allowed one play over 20 yards and they dropped two interceptions that would've been touchdowns. They have a staunch defense that a lot of smaller BCS schools would love to have. Coach Bustle has them competing big time.
4- Nebraska is banged up as well. Nothing very serious, but 2 starters on the OL are hurting, and their QB Zac Lee will be playing with a slight fracture on the thumb of his non-throwing hand. With Big 12 play looming, I don't see Nebraska leaving Lee in the game if he isn't needed. Which means u will see a NU's #2 who happens to be a true freshman.
Nebraska should not be laying -26.5. This is a joke.
Christmas came early folks.
No way Neb should be more than -20, My line is -17.5
FWIW, I am die hard Nebraska fan too.

I live in Lafayette La, I dont follow ULL , but since i live here i hear about them all the time. I respect Nebraska, but this line is a little to much. They drove the ball against LSU, so i think they should be able to move the ball against Nebraska. The only bad thing for ULL is , it's the week after their SUPERBOWL. that they lost, but dont let that score fool u., it was closer than that. ULL and pts

ULA is way too beat up off LSU......have played well but too much to ask here.... Huskers lifted by big 300th straight sell out celebration thing.....throw back ('62?) uniforms and all .....Pelini won't allow letdown...
** huskers have already beaten 2 BETTER sun belt teams by 46 and 29 .....with the extra attention to this game.....they should roll big
It is better to be feared - than to be loved.

No they weren't. If you seen the game, it looks like they played well against LSU, or LSU took it easy on them. They made it out with no injuries, and went back home with more confidence, then when they got there. Either way, the LSU game had no negative impact on the Cajuns.

I will have to look further into this. This concerns me, I've done a lot of research into this game, first I've heard of this.

I agree
..throw back ('62?) uniforms and all .....Pelini won't allow letdown...
This play has nothing to do with a let down. Its about circumstances and the likely personnel u will see in the game for NU. I know he won't allow a let down. The line is still WAY off. I'm the biggest Pelini fan around, They can still win by 3 TD's and not have a let down. Let alone not cover.
** huskers have already beaten 2 BETTER sun belt teams by 46 and 29
This statement right here shows how little you know about the Sun Belt. You couldn't possibly be more wrong. Arkansas St. is decent, but not better than ULL. And well, FAU, isn't anywhere near these two teams.
thx for the heads up on the possible ULL injuries though

I don't remember seeing ULL having anyone injured during the game against LSU. But here is the injury report for you guys to digest on: https://www.ragincajuns.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=15400&ATCLID=204800567
Official Louisiana Injury Report (as of Wednesday, September 23, 2009 for game on 9/26):
Gerren Blount, DB (leg - doubtful); Richard Brooks, LB (arm - out,
downgraded from doubtful); Matt Desormeaux, FB (knee - out); Richie
Falgout, WR (ankle - questionable, upgraded from doubtful); Chris
Fisher, OL (shoulder - questionable); Lance Kelley, DB (back - out,
downgraded from questionable); Chris Lanaux, DL (shoulder -
questionable); Chris Richard, DB (ankle - out, downgraded from
doubtful); Maurice Rolle, Jr., DB (back - doubtful, downgraded from
probable); Undrea Sails, RB (ribs - probable); Colin Windsor, OL (knee
- out); Antwyne Zanders, LB (ankle - probable)
Sails is our best and leading rusher. If he doesn't play, that will be a big hit for our offense.

There is one important thing I noticed watching ULL vs LSU last week, their secondary goes for the interception, rather than the big hit. They almost picked off alot of passes, by stepping in front of the passed, not because it was thrown poorly. This is good and bad.
Good because they are being aggressive and are not intimidated, bad because it's a risky gamble if they miss the ball, and let the receivers run free. I look for a pick 6 by them in this game, or a few big plays by Nebraska. If the latter one happens, Bustle will probably tell his secondary not to gamble on the passes.

It seems to be a pretty good line, i can see it going either way, Blackshirt D should very well hold ULA to less than 10 or even a shut out, LSU held them to 3 and i think huskers are every bit as good as LSU on D.
As for QB Lee i do see him not playing the 2nd half and Helu will pry get limited playing time also, but back up are 2 4 star recruits who will be big time players in QB Cody Green who has already showed flashes in mop up duty along with RB Burkhead who plays with the 1's when Helu needs a breather, I dont see any let up once these 2 come in the game
With all that being said the line seems to close for me to make it a play but Gl to ya

I live in Neb. and follow the Huskers closley - Coaches just said Lee just had the best practice they had ever seen and all the players are very motivated to come show what they can do after losing in the hardest loss that many Nebraskans can remember - I look for NEB to come out and play their best game of the year - Don't listen to me though, cuz I am basically wrong on every Nebraska game - I thought VT would roll us, but dammit, we won in every aspect of that game except saftey play -

Thx a lot for the injury report Warblade. Much Appreciated. I went back and watched ULL/LSU game again on my DVR. I agree with your assessment of ULL secondary play. They do gamble a lot and are very aggressive. Their LB's got good speed and pursue very well too. This team would finish in the top half of the Big Ten easy! (Sorry, I had to dig on the Big 10 a little,) NU Off. Coordinator Shawn Watson is one of the best around, and I'm sure he saw the same thing in their secondary. Not gonna lie, this really concerns me.
GL to you

Yup, they are. Bo is bad ass motherfucker who can coach Defense like few others.

No doubt, Rex Burkhead is a stud. Cody Green will be a special player as well. But he still is a very unpolished freshman QB who admitted to only knowing about 10% of the playbook 2 weeks ago. To assume he will have a big day, just cuz he's a 4 star and because he made one nice run against FAU is, IMO, ridiculous. Not to mention that run was against FAU's #2's as well. Pretty sure he has taken less than 10 snaps all year too. I'm just sayin there is not a lot of concrete evidence out there to support your theory that Green will have a big day. Other than the usual Nebraska fan hype. Which is much more than most schools

I have to admit, I don't like ULL has much as I did yesterday. Mainly because I am starting to question if ULL can get to 13 points, which is what i figured they would need to cover. I am entertaining the thought of ULL not getting in the endzone at all on Saturday, more and more. If this is indeed the case, no way they cover.

I got La Lafayette plus 30. I ran with that. With all said a coach can't make the team focus after a hard loss. The Huskers will have a bit of a hangover. If they didn't have a bye week before Missouri I would really love Lafayette.

They will allow plenty of sacks this week...#93 Suh for Nebraska was scary in the VT game....They have waxed 2 other Sunbelt teams. I believe Ark St is a better team then ULL and they got beatdown.
