The Big 10 West is beyond a joke.  To have an terrible team like Wisconsin - a team that might have won 2 or 3 games in the Big 12 be ranked and playing for a conference championship is laughable!!!  And my God let's not talk about putting them in the SEC West where they probably wouldn't have won a single game.  Arkansas would beat them by DD.

Forgot Baylor for some reason, would also maybe include Kansas state. But Oklahoma and West Virginia are hilarious. The Big 12 is like a mens flag football league. Outside of Texas, nobody plays D or even cares to try to. Put them in a cold weather game with a physical team and they'll be screwed.

JT Barrett--from Texas (decent job as a backup QB this year)
Vonn Bell--Rossville, GA--I'm sure all those SEC schools probably didn't want him

Dontre Wilson--Texas--who Meyer says is the most talented H back he has ever had, which I guess means better than all the great ones he had in the 6 years as the Gators coach

Not bitter at all........didn't have a horse in that race. Fact is, the big edge the SEC has had in the last decade has been due to superiority in the trenches. I bet if you were to force a truth serum down Saban, he'd say this was the best match up Bama could have gotten. Ohio State was able to run the ball at will against Wisconsin, making it easy for Jones to throw the ball. Bama's front seven shuts down the Buckeyes run game....forcing the 3rd stringer to make plays under pressure. Not to mention that this will turn out to be a glorified home game for the Tide. It's gonna get ugly.

I understand your point.......my point is that he doesn't have the horses....yet.....I'm aware that Urban will get more and more kids that fit the mold......just not there at this time. After they take this beating he will probably get even more aggressive in recruiting nationally. IMO, just a bad match up for the Bucks, but we shall see.

Baylor lost to a 5 loss team by 2 touchdowns and the squeakier against a weak Texas Tech team didn't help. TCU had one loss by a field goal at a top 5 team. Would have been a joke to put Baylor in over them. The team that beat Baylor by the 2 scores lost to TCU. I didn't think TCU would get jumped, but I'm glad it wasn't Baylor getting in , both teams strength of schedule hurt them for sure. If anything, maybe this speeds up them instituting the 8 team format.

Ohio State played two respectable teams all season - Michigan State and Cincinnati (and Cincinnati is being generous).  Other than that their schedule is replete with mediocre to atrocious teams.

Wisconsin wouldn't be bowl-eligible if they played in the Big 12.

    Big12 2-win team > The Big 10 7-win team

The BCS is LIGHT YEARS better than the committee.  Junk the committee.  Give the money to charity or something, and take the top 4 in the BCS instead of the top two.  Problem solved.

What's even more hilarious is the Oklahoma and West Virginia would pretty much the best two teams in the Big 10.  Who would beat them???  Ohio State . . . maybe, and Michigan State . . . maybe.  They would steamroll everyone else.

Saban passed on Bell and took Eddie Jackson instead.  Saban would have loved to have Bell, but Bell played the recruiting game too long and there were no roster spots available when he finally came around.  He then waited until the last minute hoping a spot would come open.  When a spot didn't materialize, he went to Ohio State by default.  The Buckeyes got a good one.

    ^^^ This exactly ^^^

Ohio State has no shot of running the ball against Alabama's front 7.  Alabama will force Cardale Jones to try and beat them with his arm, and that won't end well for the Buckeyes.

This will be the Urban Meyer Heart Attack Bowl II.

Baylor tcu got screwed. another example of the main powers of college football stick together, I think if its Oklahoma and texas that share the title there is no way ohio state is in. Its a brand name that gets the benefit of the doubt. I also think this sets a bad precedent. You will see a lot of overmatched teams get rolled next year with starters playing into the 4th quarters to win by 70.

Well said.  I thought the same thing when Miss. State played Alabama.  We wouldn't be able to run the ball against them, and it would be up to our QB to make plays and throw the ball, which we didn't do.  I will admit OSU has better receivers than Miss. State, but Jones is nowhere near the caliber of Dak Prescott.

Sagarin, Golden Mean, Predictor, Football Power Index... all of them have Oklahoma ranked #14 or higher, and all of them have Wisconsin ranked #21 or lower...

Nobody (of importance) knows or cares about the "Predictionmachine" rankings!

I swear to god, you are either mentally handicapped or a pathological liar and sociopath. I am leaning towards BPD. The Golden Mean and PREDICTOR ARE SAGARIN. That is why they are all on Sagarin's page you dimwit.Vegas does not use Sagarin to set lines either, except in possibly 1 way. To fool low info amateurs like yourself.  Sagarin was made for the lazy amateur gambler like yourself, not linesmakers. That is why it is in a nationwide media outlet. For easy access by squares like you . LMAO

If anything, Sagarin works for the books.  His rankings are so out of whack now they are unreal. They know amateurs like yourself use Sagarin. Its the most commonly used model there is. It is Joe Public Square rankings. Sagarin's predictor model has NEVER produced a winning season ever yet people like you guzzle his nuts like gravy. LMAO

The other 5 former BCS computers are actually power rankings too. 2 out of the 6 have OU higher than Wisconsin. Massey and Sagarin are the only ones that did.

Colley has Wisky 14 and OU 28.

Anderson has Wisky 20 and OU 27.

    Billingley: Wisky 15 OU 23

    Massey OU 23 Wisky 24

Sagarin  OU 13 Wisky 27 (I even used the Predictor)

    Wolfe Wisconsin 21 OU 28

Once again , proven wrong but you will continue to spew feces everywhere. Seriously psycho, just STFU. It is amazing that someone that is constantly wrong about everything continues to criticize people.

"Nobody ( of importance) knows or cares about the "Predictionmachine" rankings"

That has sociopath written all over it. Implying that you are  someone of importance even though practically everything you say is completely wrong and often completely fabricated is a sign of a nutcase. The fact that you have ZERO humility even after being proven wrong constantly is the sign of a sociopath. My guess is your mother tells you are most handsome and intelligent man in the world as you fall asleep in her arms every night. You are a real whack job. Seriously just STFU and go away.

Vegas odds makers use Sagarin...that is a fact. It is obviously not the only tool they use, but just one of many. Pleas show me your evidence that it isn't used please.

Hate having to see the same movie over and over. Double digit win for Bama, and another bowl season where the Big 10 gets exposed, although its not really getting exposed when we already know they don't match up against other power 5 conferences Year in and year out. Freak is right, just have bcs formula pick the top 4. Best 4 teams are not in this playoff, and if you disagree, I guess you know more than the oddsmakers in Nevada.

completely, utterly agree with this.  the only problem the BCS ever had was that they had to limit it to 2 teams.

How can a committee of old dudes in blazers be better than what we had?  It was a mortal lock that they'd ditch the B12 for the bigger name (and better connected) school.

Correct.  Substitute Oklahoma and Texas for Baylor and TCU, and the Big 12 is in.
