2. If they lose to Bama big, failure

3. If they lose to Bama down to the wire, great season

4. If they win it all, he's a legend

I rethought my first post, I couldn't delete it.  I think you're more right than what I said.

As for the BCS games, it's fairly easy pick for me.  I guess I could change my mind.  Long way out, so I have to go through my checklist.  I'll have something the day of the game (again a long way out).

As was said, Metchie is out for bama now, which is a huge loss.  Whether Bama plays Georgia or Michigan, if they can get pressure on Young, it could be lights out.  It's the kind of injury that doesn't hit the headlines, but matters.

cincinnati is 26th in college football in sacks with 37, which is not good considering they are in a bcs game.  They'll have to figure out a way to get past that bama oline, to win the game. 

Look, if Georgia doesn't win a title, for the team, it will be a HUGE disappointment.  Kirby won't be on the hotseat, that's absurd.  Georgia isn't parting with their "messiah", no matter how long he doesn't win a title.  That's all I'm saying.  

I think it will be very very different in the second matchup, assuming Georgia beats Michigan.  I think Bama will still pull  it out, but wouldn't surprsie me if Georgia wins.  But if Georgia doesn't, it will be a FAILURE for that team.  There's no way around that

I don't think Cincy has a prayer at winning.  

I have no clue on the Michigan/Georgia game.  Whichever offense can throw, that's who will win.

I've already said I think Bama will have trouble with Georgia in round 2... I think they roll Michigan

 Yeah, I'll agree given it's this team, AND Metchie is out.  I think you're right given this year.

How much time does Bennett need, he just got flustered out there.  I had Bama ML, and caught almost every break, thank god.  I have to believe if Bennett struggles Kirby may go to Daniels.

Bama has to get past Cincinnati first, as does Georgia.  People just assume Bama and Georgia are gonna win-probably, but we'll see.

Team rankings

Georgia offense: 30th rushing, 53rd passing

Georgia defense: 4th rushing, 3rd passing

Michigan offense: 10th rushing, 67th passing

Michigan defense: 21st rushing, 22nd passing

So clearly the game is strength on strength-Michigan rushing (10th) vs Georgia d rushing (4th)

Michigan got the lead against Ohio St, and got the lead against Iowa.  That's the key to them winning the game against Georgia.  If Michigan gets behind, they are cooked.  That's according to this angle.  Michigan HAS to get the lead, or keep it close, to keep running the ball.  Georgia's secondary was exploited, but it doesn't seem like Michigan has the firepower to deal with it (67th passing is atrocious for a bcs team)

I was sweating that Bama game all game, turned out a winner but I was doubting it.  When it was 10 0 Georgia, you figure Bama is done.  Bama got the breaks-the biggest play was that 70 yard throw on 3rd down, I think it was to WIlliams.  The Georgia secondary couldn't do jack after that.

Good dialogue. Many I talk to feel if not this year we'll when ?  Frustration is growing with these repeated losses to Ala. The UGA orientation of pound and stout D has not worked in years. Forty one yrs is a long, long time....esp with all the talent they have had .  Ala has eight titles in the same time period. 

 Many here have been priced out of tix after receiving for yrs. $24k in donations minimum that was required to be in Clemson game ticket lottery was absurd....and that's upper level. $91k minimum for lower.

 My problem with believing in Cincy really comes down to the fact that Saban will have SOOO much time to prepare for them.  That just hasn’t proved to be a successful recipe for others to beat him in the past. 
I think Cincy have the offense to give Bama problems, BUT they have not looked like a team that’s gonna give Bama enough problems to beat them, recently anyway. I hope I’m wrong and they do. But I think Bama will smash Cincy, Georgia and Michigan will slug it out and if Georgia wins, they come in there and Bryce Young can’t beat them again. (Just so hard to do it twice in this close of a time frame. And he’s too inexperienced to get it done yet IMO) and if Michigan wins… I think the pressure cooks em and that defense holds for a bit but the offense stumbles and we see a very similar result as to what happened to Georgia. 
Then we all sit here and say, how the hell is anyone supposed to beat Saban and Bama if no one could beat them THIS year…. And depression sets in for another 6 months

 My problem with Bama is they just shot their load at Georgia.  Saban was on record as saying his team loved the rat poison this week.  In other words, he was motivating the team talking about how inferior they are to Georgia.  What's the incentive to beat Cinci?  Realistically they're expected to sleepwalk their way through Cinci.

They lost Metchie which was huge.  They lost their most reliable receiver, they got Williams to go deep and now they have to scramble for the rest of the receivers.

The issue is will the oline protect Young-Georgia actually got pressure on Young, but he was able to avoid sacks, and he got the ball off fast too, and the receivers were able to beat the Georgia secondary consistently.  Can the Cinci secondary cover the receivers (again, no Metchie). I'm not familiar enough to know if the Cinci defense can get after young, given they have less sacks they may try to box Young in instead of rushing him hard like Georgia did.  You can be sure Fickell is looking hard at the tape vs Georgia, and the tape vs Auburn, and what's the difference-as Saban is looking at the Cinci tape of course.

Sure he's got time to prepare for Cinci, but Fickell stayed at Cinci when he could have gone elsewhere.  Sure Saban will prepare, but Fickell is no joke.  This is Cinci's one shot at fame, they are playing the fabled Alabama Crimson Tide.  They beat Notre Dame fairly easily.  Granted they have not played anybody yet other than Notre Dame and what-Houston and SMU.

I guess things could change, but I'm fairly sure I won't be on Alabama -13 or -14 or whatever it is.  And picking up that Bama moneyline is brutal-who's gonna pay -500 or whatever it is.

Looks like the line for Cinci is +13.5 and ML +425.  If you want to bet Bama ML that is -550.  That is ridiculous. 

At least it's not as bad as I think it was Alabama-Notre Dame last year, spread was a joke what 20 or 21 or something.

But this is not too far from that

Bama rated 7 with the pass, Cinci rated 2 defending the pass

That looks to be where the game will be. 

That is going to be fascinating.

I haven't ruled out a ML play on Cinci.

Where's the game? Dallas at JerryWorld.  I don't anticipate the crowd being a big factor, though it's close to Bama, most of the crowd are the rich wine-and-cheese types that don't cheer hard.

Saban beats a lot of coaches with that amount of prep who aren’t a joke lol. 

But I hear you. And I see your points. I just don’t think it’s gonna matter. I’m not advocating playing Bama ml. I live bet A LOT. Especially in these marquee big time games. It’ll be what I do with this one as well. That said, I’d feel a whole lot better about laying -13 than taking +13 in this scenario.

It's rigged against you.  You win, they limit you, and limit you more if you keep winning.  If you lose, great, they keep you around.  So you can't win.

Get this, last week DraftKings CEO Jason Robbins said this:

“This is an entertainment activity,” Robins said. “People who are doing this for profit are not the players we want.”

In other words, they only keep you around if you lose.

I was listening to SportsGrid recently, I remember what Ferrell said.  All these apps cut you off if you win.  I couldn't believe he said it on national radio, but it's true.

So, I just go to the book and play, and I watch the game.  When football season is over, I take my break.

Initial thinking myself is probably do a money line parlay on Ala and UGA.  Had Ala in teaser prior...+13.5. Never dreamed result as such.

 That’s fair. I’m by no means doing this for a living anymore but none of the big offshores have cut me off. I would never play with fanduel or any of those other rinkity sites. 

There’s a lot of value to be had with live betting. Just gotta learn how to read a game

And the O play calling, schematic was ultraconservative yet once again.  So how did Dabo beat Saban two out of three recent yrs with much less talent Smart fans? Same w Malzahn three out of eight yrs. Sorry...some r overvaluing KS expertise and  critical decision making.  Low probability they beat both Mich and Ala....esp w Bennett at the helm.  Could b wrong.... frequently am. Good luck to all. Kirby is not a top 5 coach..He is a top 5 recruiter.......
