why are you so high on Texas Tech?  Ole MIss has a legit team-- went into Gainesville and beat Florida pretty easily

every dog has its day as Miss did against Florida. Shit happens. Texas Tech will win by atleast 1 TD.. going to wait until I can hopefully get Tech -4 instead of -4.5

Oh man.... Don't drink the koolaid please! They don't play D in that crappy conference! Tech does not have the speed or the power that Ole Miss has. Remember when Alabama was a dog to tech in the Cotton a few years ago. It was Bama and Under. That dink and dunk offense got shut the fuck down! Same thing happens tomorrow. Hats off to Crabtree, He's the real deal but Harrell spends most of the day on his ass.

gotta agree. can't go by one game. on that day ole miss was the right matchup for Florida. gotta look at the whole season.

texas tech should win it, but it's hard to know how to play it.

deciding to take the spread or take the moneyline.

Going into the season Ole Miss would be jacked up to play in ANY bowl game.  Now they are playing in the Cotton Bowl.

 

Texas Tech is coming off one of the best seasons in school history and they DIDN’T EVEN MAKE IT TO A BCS BOWL.

 

Ole Miss wants to be there.  Tech doesn’t.  That COULD be the difference.

What Bama did against Tech a few years ago is irrelevant in this game. Ole miss will be pumped up for this game, it will be interesting to see how Tech comes out for this one. They could be un-motivated.

Frankly I don't like Harrell.....He's a prick.....But he's also a helluva football player.....He broke the last 3 fingers on his hand in 9 places against Baylor late in the season and played the entire second half with them taped together coming from behind to win.....And I don't know which QB you were watching on his ass but it wasn't Harrell....
 
Tell you what, if you're in Dallas I'll take all you want to put on Miss......

I would not base betting on Ole Miss just because of a line moving counter to the public money... however.....

First of all, as for the comment about Ole Miss going into Florida and beating them "pretty easily"... do you forget what happened?  It was back and forth all game and Ole Miss only won because of a 86yd TD late in the 4th and a missed extra point by Florida at the end of the game.  I would have taken Florida in overtime at home had it gone there...

However, Ole miss has to feel pretty good about playing in the cotton bowl at 8-4 and Texas Tech might feel left out of a bigger bowl despite their impressive 11-1 season (with a win against Texas no less).  Motivation will be a factor. 

Also, Ole Miss averages close to 3 sacks a game and at least an interception allowing around 200yds a game in the air.  While they don't offer a high powered air game themselves, look for them to keep the ball on the ground a lot and control the clock.  They average 180yds on the ground and Texas Tech's run D allowing over 130yds plays more like one that allows 175+.  They historically run the ball 8 times to every 5 passes.

Final verdict:  even if Texas Tech gets ahead early in the game Ole Miss won't give up - they won't forget their win against Florida anytime soon.  I like Ole Miss in this one, they'll own the clock all game and have at least 7 points off of Texas Tech turnovers.

Final score:  Ole Miss 45  Texas Tech 34

my question to you guys is didn't Tech almost loose to the Mighty Bears of Baylors at home in a game where they need to win big to have any chance with the championship game?

Harrell, Cumbie, Symons, Hodges, Kingsbury, are all the same guy! All threw up major stats in a QB friendly system versus an overrated conference. Tomorrow the system gets exposed again against a team with better athletes.
 
Saw lots of people on Penn St today and tried to warn off everyone. Most people will be all over Tech and that glamorous O. If something is to good to be true it usually is.......
