That is what you said about Ohio State last year, then they lost to Illinois AND got crushed by LSU.

I had stated that OSU could be a top team of our era, IF they continued to dominate teams, and then they lost to Illinois. At that point they were just one of many teams waiting for someone else to lose. In 2005 USC went to the NC game touted as the best team ever, and while that may have been true they lost to Texas in the last minute.

 Big Dawg, I would say in the last 10 years that OSU has had as many top NFL players as any other team. And the region w/ OSU, PSU, Mich , ND, matches up with CA or FLA or any other. And USC hasn't out-recruited OSU every year, and those "opinions" don't even matter anyhway, as Notre Dame had good recruiting classes and they sucked last year, and other highly ranked recruiting classes didn't pan out.

They haven't played each other since 1990.They have met 21 times between 1937 and 1990 ,and OSU has won nine of the games. Last time OSU won was 1974 ROSE BOWL score was 42 to 21.

Ohio State* might be hoping that the game in September is ended early by lightning as well. I remember that game pretty well, I laid the 6 with the Trojans all around school and had trouble collecting all of it when the game ended with about 4 minutes to go and USC up 35-26, I believe.
