SEC Championship:Georgia vs LSU

The SEC is on a "Power Surge" never before seen in the modern era. They have analysed the football landscape and are using their resources to be the major player for years to come utilizing a14 team dominance--which guarantees national finalists.

Absorbing these two schools also serves to weaken their Big 12 neighbors considerably.

1) FOOTBALL pays the bills. Football pays all other sports programs. A University's image is controlled by the image of their football program (Ask Penn State U). The SEC will be able to boast consecutive championships; take new recruits to state of the art facilities; establish firm relationships w/ ESPN.

2) It continues this year as another champion emerges from the SEC.

3) The BCS helps maintain a control over any "anomolies" like Boise St or any other program built up by a skilled coach. Power tries to consume any and all threats.

I havent read many of these posts but...

arguing that Atlanta is in GA making it a home game means little to nothing in this game. please see boise st. At least a 1/3 to 1/2 of the fans will be lsu fans.

When hasn't Lsu proven itself in big games this year, or not covered in those big games for the matter.

Dogs are hot but they have not played anyone since SC in week 2. They barely beat FLA is is awful and couldnt cover vs Vandy.

Why is it that in the middle of the season allegations come out of pay for play, and the NCAA brings back a VERDICT within a few days to clear Cam Newton for the game vs Alabama, then the NC. Yet, for the same economic hardship case of under the table funding of empoverished athletes at USC, we have a Championship removed from a team (2006) and next year the DEVASTATING loss of ten scholarships...and so on? Who wants to see USC dismantled and weakend, in disarray? The SEC? Is THAT in THEIR interests? You bet. Cam Newton---> ok, "we see no indication of foul play."  (Thanks for another championship.) Reggie Bush?----> Death to USC, even years later.

Yeah, all he did was tell the line judge he was going to call a timeout, and to look for him. Pass complete---time ticking away. FG try before OT to try win it? NO.The ref NEVER looks at him. Time runs out. Why did the ref do this?

WIll Georgia's key defensive or offensive players get a signal from somewhere to begin the fall? An opening and closing umbrella, perhaps?

This post is out there. Not all my fault. I don't want to be impressed by LSU so that nothing is possible. I am asking for Georgia to show up and play for themselves, play for pride, play for their own program.

I've learned long ago to smell out when the table is set for a desireable result that favors power, and to back off and just watch it when it's there.

Power gets what it wants. Usually they live to regret what they get, but it gets maniacal and fanatical when they're going after it (football dominance).
