Please explain:  83% on S. Florida (Favorite), Line Moves Down!!!!

Is Vegas begging us to bet on S. Florida?

Uhhh, maybe your 83% number isnt really accurate?
 
Maybe that means 83% of people in Florida over the age of 70 that bet under 20 bucks a game?
 
Maybe that means 83% of the money?
 
Maybe a site that tells you 83% of whatever is actually just making their money by telling people who will listen anything they want?
 
And so on and so on and so on.  This is one of those gambling myths (like playing blackjack with a bad 3rd base player) that will never go away, because people are always looking to explain something with an easy answer.

$moregreen$ this reverse line movement system went 15-3 last weekend including 2-0 on the primetime NCAAF last week, Wake covered and won out right and SJSU covered and almost won outright, people hate on it because they don't pay attention to it and then place there bets and then get pissed when they find out they are on the wrong side, USF may still win and cover tonight but i will be betting with Vegas and the Sportsbook because over the years i have found that when you bet with Vegas you win more then you lose, imagine that!!!

Who cares.  Do you think Rutgers can compete with South Florida or not?  That's your only question and concern.

Even if it could be proven that those stats are 100% legitimate, they would still mean nothing as they are reporting the number of bets and not the amount or split of the money.

Number of bets doesn't really mean shit.

Vanzack's one bet on Rutgers would be equal monetarily to the average gambler making 200 bets on USF. That would be like 99.5% on USF as far as amount of wagers but the money would be split 50:50.

Make sense? If you want to check a site that is legitimate for percentages, check out wagerline. The caveat to wagerline though is it is not tied to real money whatsoever. Nothing at stake = disingenuous results.

believe it or not wagerline is tied to real money.. they say the percentages are taken only from picks in leagues for money.. someone correct me if im wrong but i believe that is the case

I agree there are sucker bets out there, but you people read to much into these percentages.  First, who says they are even accurate?  Who says they are not just playing games with you and the numbers are the exact opposite on any certain game?  Laying points on the road against a respectable team cannot be a trap and College Football.  I believe in line movements at times and that is the only thing making me think twice about taking USF, bigger then the small amounts I already have on it.

And if those numbers were to be true, the two sources I have say 57% and 59% on USF.   83% is definitely a small site or untrue.

Yeah, these percentages are about as accurate as the ones that are posted on Yahoo sports pick 'em %'s. Garbage.
