Please dont try to lecture me on gambling. Ball on the 23 yard line in the middle of the field. Run the ball  up the middle. Kick the FG and regroup. Blame the QB? For running the play the coach calls? Makes no sense...that was the point of my post. Dont have him dropping back and secure a SHOT AT 3 POINTS

I'll type a little slower for you this time.....

A 40 yard field goal is probably a 50/50 shot at best for the OU FG kicker.  AT BEST.

And what kind of fucking football philosophy is it to play scared once you maybe reach FG range?  BS.  Landry Jones has to throw that ball away, and not take a sack.

I wouldn't.  Not saying there is no way they won't come out better in the 2H, but it's not something I'd expect.  When Jones is playing bad, he usually plays bad all game.  OU coaches also haven't been making many good HT adjustments.  And the fact that we cannot block #40 isn't going to change.

I'd stay away.
