1.) No doubt the SEC as a conference is better than the Big Ten
2.) Yes OSU got killed in the big one last year; it was embarrassing
3.) Yes OSU lucked in to the the #1 this year

    BUT
Answer this though: Would Last year's or this year's OSU team really struggle in the SEC

1.) No there is only 1 other team than Florida that could have competed with OSU last year
2.)  There is only one team this year that would pose a threat (LSU)
3.) OSU as a favorite would find ways to win in SEC; they would not lose when they are supposed to (LSU as 9 point favs vs Kent)
4.) Kent, Ark, Auburn, Ala, Miss, Miss st, Vandy, Tenn, Georgia, South Carolina, etc would not have beat OSU this year or last year
5.) OSU 33-3 in last 3 years (1 loss to Texas by 2, Texas won it all, 1 loss to another Nat Champ Flor, 1 loss to PSU team that finished 3 in country)

So basically SEC is better than Big Ten but OSU would dance through the "tough SEC schedule" year in and year out

This year's OSU team is better than last, so I hope LSU wins to set up a chance for OSU to "beat the faster, stronger, more athletic team."

How can you even think OSU would have a chance against the almighty SEC. Have you not heard how the Big Ten (11) is slow, overated and plays nobody outside the Big Ten (11). We have no talent year after year and the SEC just keeps getting better and faster.

If Ohio State played LSU’s schedule (7 teams ranked in the top 20), they WOULD lose at least 3 games before the end of the season.  Of course we won’t ever get to see Ohio State play a schedule even mildly close to that seeing as how they haven’t even played ONE team ranked in the top 20 yet and LSU has already played 6.

I'm a huge Buckeye fan, but I'm also sick of seeing these threads comparing OSU/Big Ten to the SEC. They're 10-0, atleast give them some respect and quit bringing up threads to bash them and their shitty schedule. WE KNOW THIS ALREADY. Some of you act like OSU just made this schedule a month or two before the season started, try about 5-6 years in advance. Big Ten is down this year, WE KNOW THIS ALREADY. Nothing we can do about it than watch the games and await the match-up between Michigan and OSU which will be a dandy.

FYI, OSU has played teams in the top 20-25, but after the loss, their opponent is no longer in the same spot.....it isn't rocket science.

If the SEC is so much better, why did the SEC go 1-2 against the Big 10 in bowl games?

You're right, they probably would lose more considering that the Buckeyes are an embarrasing 0-8 lifetime against the SEC in Bowl Games !

I can understand why you're sick of hearing about the SEC as they are Ohio State's worst nightmare!

OSU lucked into the #1 spot? WTF? They have done nothing but take care of business, while OKL and LSU and every body else tripped up. OSU and Kansas are the only teams that have dominated everybody. And anything that happened 30 years ago vs the SEC, or 50 years ago, doesn't mean squat. The SEC has won 4 NC the last 12 years, it's not like they are ominating anything. And for you LSU chumps out there, if LSU continues to get lucky, an wins out, they will be a dog to the Buckeyes in New Orleans.

I agree man.  OSU tries to schedule tough opponents but no one wants to play them.  Out of conference schedule games with Texas two years straight and USC next year.  All games at the start of the season which is risky.  I mean Im sure OSU would lose to Kentucky at Kentucky this year.  That is such a tough place to play, LMFAO.

OK let's dispel this myth, The OSU has had some good wins this year, they beat Wash at their place which was no gimme, the line was -3 remember, they whipped PSU who is very tough at home and at night, and they will be a bowl team of course, and PSU was ranked #10 this year, they beat Wisc, who was in the top 10 earlier this year, and they have to play a Michigan team who will likely be in  the top 15 at that point. They beat a winning Mich st team, and they have to beat a winning Illinois team. Do some of you assholes even watch college football?

No offense dude but Washington is 3-6 this year.  If that is one your best wins that you hang your hat on you are really reaching.

Face it . . . the Big 10 is down this year.  But who cares . . . your team will gets its chance to prove itself once again in 2 months.  So who cares what people say now?

OSU gets the job done.  Both Oklahoma and LSU have lost as a double-digit favorite this year.

playing at Wash was a good non conf win. A lot of top 20 teams avoid BCS teams like Wash, they would rather play Sun Belt teams.
