1. C-USA vs. MAC's bowl performances. The MAC is currently 0-4 this bowl season with losses to the Sun-Belt, WAC, C-USA and Big East. Not exactly the powerhouse conferences. While the C-USA has performed extremely well with their only loss being ECU vs. Kentucky in a game that was controlled by ECU for most of the contest. Pretty obvious advantage Tulsa.
2. SOS between these two teams. Ball St. has yet to play a team that is any good while Tulsa has played Rice, Houston, ECU and Arkansas. Not to mention they hammered a good Rice squad to the tune of 63-28. Ball St. struggled with a Western Michigan team that got beat by the same Rice team 38-14 while being down 38-0 at one point. Pretty obvious advantage Tulsa.
3. Tulsa played in this same bowl game last year vs. a MAC opponent. They played Bowling Green last year and beat them 63-7. The Ball St. offensive coordinator was so impressed he actually traveled to Tulsa in the offseason and studied their offense. That same offensive coordinator is now head coach as Brady Hoke has left for San Diego St. It's basically the teacher vs. the pupil in this offensive showdown and I'll go with the teacher everytime Advantage Tulsa.
With all these being pretty obvious advantages before even capping the game I had to be overwhelmed with something to back Ball St. here. When I capped it I still liked Tulsa in this matchup and it made it a very strong play for me. Ball St. could not stop the only "above average" offense they played in Central Michigan. CMU did whatever they wanted whether it being running early on or passing it late. Ball St. is also coming off a loss that put an end to their perfect season. Nate Davis is contemplating turning pro and they have a new coach. Ball St's offense looks like a juggernaut but from what I've seen of it they need Lewis to be able to run the ball to open up the pass for Davis. Tulsa's strength on defense is actually stopping the run and outside of giving up 260 to Marshall have averaged around only 100 yards allowed per game. If Ball St. doesnt get their running game going they will be in for a long night
Thats my abbreviated write-up. Good luck guys

keep in mind when Hoke left he took his Def Coord with him..himself. regardless what anyone says Hoke called all the def. schemes and made all the adjustments. Mark Smith didn't. these guys were terrible stopping the run in the MAC and now no-one to adjust to a run-oriented spread offense better than any they saw in MAC. Tuls can make this ugly

Guys I live on MS gulf coast 65 miles west of Mobile. Weather there is same as here, as a cold front approaches. We will get the weather first because of the angle of the front line. Breezy right now but winds increasing to 15 -25mph with gusts to 30 in the stronger thunderstorms. Not raining yet, but front is approaching and by game time and on into the game, should be seeing some fairly harsh windy weather. Rain chance is 70%.

I dont play 1st half bets so dont feel qualified to suggest plays as I have no experience betting it. As far as college bball cappers I'm trying to figure out the same thing myself, I think Bird4332 puts in the most time so hes a good place to start
