Only games I have opinions on:


Michigan---I disagree, I like Purdue in this game.

Minnesota---I like them and think this is a solid bet

Colorado---I like them as well, just don't like your line as I think all value was lost once it crossed 3.

Vanzack I do find this funny...


In reagrds to the LSU Alabama game commentators are talking about a "classic"  7-3 type of SEC game.

When it comes to the SEC every kind of game is a "classic."

However if the same game is played today by the Bucks and Beavers it is called a Big 10 slop shit show.

TCU would be favored by 3 points.  They have a nice win vs a Clemson team that was not peaking like they are now.  Other than that, don't try to convince me that their win vs BYU is impressive.  Remember what FSU did to BYU?

Their offense would do nothing against our defense.

I respectfully disagree.  I think TCU could hang with everyone in the Big Ten but Iowa.  And that's only because I think the Iowa D could slow down TCU's offense.  I still think TCU would win.

The Big 10 is really down this year.  The out of conference games speak for themselves.

Iowa beat Arkansas St by 3, beat Northern Iowa by 1 and even struggled with Indiana last week.

Wisconsin beat Northern Illinois by 8, Fresno by 3.

Ohio St beat Navy by 4 and lost to a freshman Qb at home in USC.

The rest of the teams in the conference outside of Penn St are all slightly below average.  The only thing that makes them look average is that they play each other all year.  Teams like Minnesota, Northwestern, Indiana are all the same. 

TCU hasn't had a major test yet.  The closest thing was going to BYU.  At the time BYU was ranked 16 I believe.  They won that game pretty handily. 

I could be way off.  Just my opinion.  And sorry if I hijacked the thread.

I understand - but as I stated above - at least the SEC goes out of conference and WINS.

Honestly - and I am just thinking about this for the first time in this thread - DOES A SINGLE TEAM IN THE BIG TEN HAVE A SINGLE WIN VS A DECENT TEAM OUT OF CONFERENCE (I guess ND, but come on...)

I can only think of one major conference win for whole conference, and that is Iowa vs Arizona.  I really cant think (off the top of my head) of a single other win by any team in the big ten vs a major power conference.

Come on.  The fact that we even talk about the Big Ten in these circumstances is embarassing.

Can you tell me one out of conference win - not for OSU - but for the whole friggin conference that is commendable?

Look - I call it like I see it.  In the bowl matchups, the big ten is going to get smoked.  It is a down year.

i think TCU could run the big ten. they're just flat out better. with the exception of penn state whom i think just hasn't reached their potential/can't seem to put together a complete game. the big ten is definately horrible this year, the SEC isn't having a downyear, they just don't have 6 of the top 10 teams in the country.
