We should all at least give you credit for coming back into your own thread and taking the much deserved heat after starting such a bold topic.
With that said, you deserve all this heat which is coming your way. Best team ever? Thats a joke. They saved themselves and the rest of the Luckeye nation another embarrassing loss in the BCS title game.

good point, chillery... although i am glad to see ignorant Buckeye fans eat their words... i am bummed that i won't be getting the opportunity to bet against them vs. Oregon or LSU... would have been free money...
now i will have to settle for betting USC or ASU vs. Mich or OSU in the Rose Bowl...

Godfather, today was really the first time I've watched a entire OSU football game and just a queion. You mentioned this OSU defense and to put it nicely they were horrible. They looked lost and really slow. Laurenitas was teh only guy I thought was worth mentioning. This QG. Are you kiddding me and that so called best offensive line?? Jesus the Illinoise defensive line destroyed them and they looked lost. 8 or so minutes to let your opponent hold the ball to end the game? Wow if this team is what you were banking on for a National Championship, then I feel for you and the rest of the Buckeye fans, because that effeort was embarrassing. At least you were a man and came back in here to get your medicine. Well one thing I'll end by saying that team today would in no way give LSU, Oregon, Kansas or Oklahoma a run for there money. Good luck the rest of the way.

OSU deserved to lose. They were overrated to begin with. This loss makes this thread look even dumber than it was when first posted. Maybe now some OSU fans will stop thinking OSU is the best team ever.

pete - I didn't watch the game but looking at the stats it is clear they played poorly after dominating the whole year, and Illinois' defense is not anything special, maybe a big lookahead to the Michigan game? (which is totally unacceptable of course - Ill. is a winning team right?) And the O-line has been great but they couldn't run the ball today, and Boeckman threw 3 picks which he hasn't done. I don't think Illinois is really better than PSU or WISC, but OSU just didn't play their game against them, and they couldn't stop the run at all.

Godfather......GIVE IT A REST....Ohio State would be an underdog on a neutral field to 3-4 teams THIS YEAR. LET ALONE YOU CALLING THEM THE BEST TEAM EVER. If you think they are the best team ever you haven't watched much football. I would go as far as to say THIS YEARS OHIO STATE team isn't even as good as last years team.
