Also leaning towards Kentucky, hoping to get it at +17 or maybe even +17.5

what up bob...im really felling baylor +27 ...oklahoma will be looking ahead to texas following week...the kid qb griffin on baylor really manages game well....its baylors superbowl and oklahoma will prob come out flat...hoLLa

I like ASU, as i think Cal's a bit of a fraud; early start should keep the crown quiet

in the maryland/uva tilt, you get the odd intersection of two misleading finals from last week - UVa didn't give up 300 yards while getting drilled, while maryland didn't gain 300 yards in winning on the road

FIU is laying points on the road; there should be a law against that; they got something like 250 yards last week in breaking the Glass Bowl

NC State - BC never beats anyone badly, and O'Brien should know the Eagle personnel well

UConn? it's rare that team that figures to run the ball better doesn't have a shot

Marshall - home against 3rd string QB; not much help from the line, though

Colorado/Purdue - I'll bet one of them covers

KSU - will either win or get messacred

Pigskin's picks :

Texas Tech -7 The Red Raiders are running the ball more and finding offensive balance, which makes them even better offensively. K St's defense has allowed over 1000 yds of offense to Louisville and ULL. The Wildcats were gashed for over 300 yds rushing each of those games. I can't take a team that gives up that much yardage. Texas Tech and the Over seem like a good parlay.

So. Carolina + 2 1/2 The Gamecocks seem to have found their QB in Stephen Garcia in the Steve Spurrier QB merry-go-round, and I suspect Ole Miss will have a bit of emotional let down this week.

Navy + 4 1/2 It seems like I keep playing navy week after week, but I have went to the pay station the last two weeks with them on the money line and i will try to make that three straight today. Navy has covered the last 5 years against Air Force,and I am encouraged by the fact, navy's defense seems to be improving.

Tulane -20 Right now Army is a mess and Bob Toledo has the Green Wave playing sound football on both sides of the line. I dont think Army will stop the Wave offense, as Andre Anderson has picked up where Matt Forte left off, and QB Kevin Moore is sporting a 125 passer rating. Tulane's defense will shut down an offense averaging 9 pts a game against Div.I competition, and make up for last years 17-20 loss the Black Knights on the banks of the Hudson.

Colorado + 13 Texas has beaten up on 4 pretty bad teams , 3 of them at home, scoring 52 three times and 42 at UTEP. This will be the Longhorns first real test on the road. Texas has covered the last 3 games in Boulder, but this Buffalo team is a better edition than those. Coming off the Buff's rather lethargic nonconference loss to Fla. ST. last week, and the Longhorns having to travel to Norman next week...i smell an upset.

For no particular reason i also like West Viginia, perhaps its just because Rutgers sucks.

I think Kentucky hangs in there against Alabama today, given the tides big win over Georgia last week.

Illinois just might upset Michigan after the Wolverines big win over the Badgers. I think Juice Williams has too much speed and versatility for the Michigan defense to contain for 4 quarters.
