NCAA Week 2 Plays

3* ARMY -4 over USF - The Bulls have a new first time HC in Brian Hartline and an entirely new roster with just three starters back from last season. They have talent but lack experience playing together, which I think will be problematic against Army's triple option. Also, USF's 19-9 win over FIU last week was as phoney as they come. I think the Black Knights could roll here.

3* SYRACUSE -3' over California - I thought Cal's game against UCLA last week would be a tossup, but the Bruins really took the wind out of their sails before a sellout crowd in Berkeley. Now they have to travel clear across the country to face what I think could be one of the most improved teams in the country now that QB Steve Angeli is back for the Orange.

Just those two plays for now. May have one more. BOL to one and all. Cheers!

3* Georgia Southern +20 over CLEMSON - This one might bite me in the ass, but the fact of the matter is Clemson isn't Clemson anymore. Dabo Swinney is living in the past and hasn't embraced the transfer portal era. The Eagles bring in QB Max Johnson, back for his SEVENTH year! There isn't much behind him, but IF he can stay upright behind a rebuilt offensive line I think they can hang with the Tiger Paw. I was hoping to get +21 here but the line is wanting to go down. -19' at most sites now and I was lucky to get it at +20.

Gotta love the 7yr QBs haha .... I was looking at this one as a parlay combiner and I think you talked me into it

3* Army -4 It was looking good with five minutes left, up 24-14, then the sky caved in.

3* Syracuse -3' This one was a rough one to take. 'Cuse dominated this game statistically, but three Steve Angeli interceptions (two led to Cal TDs) and two missed field goals sunk my boat. 

3* Georgia Southern +20  Had to sweat this one out but it went about like I figured, and reenforced my belief that Clemson is fade material this season.

A frustrating 1-2 day, but I took solace in Boise's big win over Memphis. Down 17-3, they went on a 35-3 run and shut the Tigers out in the second half!  Rushed for 357 yards and had nearly 40 minutes of possession time. THAT'S what I was expecting from Army! 

On to Week Three.

 4th and 5 and USF lofts a perfect 30 yard TD pass with 19 seconds left for the win. New coach for the Bulls got balls no doubt!

Yeah, USF played much better than they did in Week One. So did a LOT of teams, Michigan and Okie St. especially.
