Well, my week started off disasterous, but I hit 6 of my last 7 plays for week nine to get myself back over .500 and back in the positive.
My take away from this weekend is that Sherman continues to frustrate our fanbase. Forgetting just a second about the second half collapse (again), the play calling in overtime was absolutely horrible. I mean, we had a 3rd and 2 with two of the best running backs in the nation. So, what do we do? We hand off to one of our WR's and not through a normal hand-off but through a toss to him. Anyways, I just don't understand how you could do anything besides giving it to Gray or Michael. We are on the fast track to 7-5. That is simply horrible given the amount of talent on this team.
Another take away is that Baylor is still Baylor despite having RGIII. Sorry to any Baylor fans, but the Bears are really starting to look like they did back before RGIII.
I am just starting to look over things, but I would imagine that my card will not be quite as large as it was last week.

Hey Aggie, as Tech(ie) always enjoy reading your picks/posts. Am old enough and far enough detached from rivalry that I am able to root for A&M and TX when they are not playing Tech. Just hate to see such a talented team that should be undefeated, w 3 losses. Watched the entire Missou and OSU games and it is crystal clear that they are just not well coached. They wont reach potential w Sherman, but suspect they wont fire him w 8-4 or 7-5 record.
Feel yur pain and good luck w picks

shiek I think 6-6 or worse will be the only way he gets canned.
smartbets My head says yet. I probably will not be playing a side this weekend in that game, which will tell you what I think as I never bet against the Ags. I do have a feeling I will have a play on the total though.

samdude Hopefully we can both get back on track.

still think you guys take the rivalry game in College Station?
I don't know man. I already feel certain guys on our team are not giving full effort (Jeff Fuller for example). It seems like some guys are already looking past the rest of the season and on to playing on Sundays. If we are entering that game at 6-5, which is very possible, then it could be interesting. You guys at least have the young guys who are still giving maximum effort.

Toledo -7 -125 (1 unit) I locked this one in yesterday before the line went up, but I just didn't get around to posting it. I believe the line is -8 or -8.5 now, which I still like. The two teams have the same record and are both relatively weak defensively. However, I like Toledo's offense more than that of NIU and I think Toledo's losses have been more impressive. I suspect Toledo wins this one by double digits.

100% agree. And this is coming from a Baylor "fan" living in Waco.
Each week this team makes me think of the old phrase, "Offense wins games. Defense wins championships."
Briles has focused all of his recruiting efforts on offense. Until he gets top-quality recruits (like RGIII) on the defensive side of the ball, Baylor will not truly compete in the Big XII.

joewashington We are the Chicago Cubs of college football. It does really get frustrating at times that we are championship caliber in pretty much every other sport except for the one that really matters.
Lar - I feel your pain. I do hope you guys get by Missouri this weekend.

Alabama -4 -120 (1 unit) Here is how I see this one. The two defenses are relatively even and depending on what the total does, there is a decent chance I will have a play on the under. But at the end of the day, I like Bama for a couple of reasons. First off, I think they are stronger offensively with Richardson leading the way. I just don't feel like the Tigers have anyone at his level and I expect him to have his "heisman moment" in this one that I suspect will get him second place in the voting. Second, I feel like this is the type of spot Saban lives for. I realize Miles is a good coach as well in big games, but Saban just doesn't lose in these spots. Finally, we are playing this one in Alabama. All these things combined will lead to an 7-8 point victory in my opinion.

Well, I would normally have thought if the team I was playing scored 60 points, I would be okay. I guess not. Not sure which was worse, the defense by Toledo or the clock management at the end of the game by Toledo. Both were horrible.

I feel your pain. If we can't get rid of Coach Sherman, what do you think the odds are of us hiring an offensive coordinator? I'm at the point where I would take Leach(seriously). We need someone to shake things up. I'll wear the damn eye patch for the pirate, if we can just win the games we are ahead in to begin with.
My real question is what are your thought on IA State-14 at home against Kansas? I believe the Cyclones have found a qb and could really tear Kansas up? thanks in advance!

Ohio/Temple u47.5 -110 (2 units) Locked this one in this morning. I really like this one to potentially stay under 40. Temple is the number 2 scoring defense in the nation, allowing 10 points a game. Further, if you take out there game against Toledo, they are allowing 5.5 points per game. That is ridiculous. Add-in the fact that Temple doesn't score a lot and I see this one staying low. I am going to guess that this is a 21-17 type game.
