Honestly Boom, I really dont think Clemson is gonna hang with this FSU team this week, the line suggests a win and cover by FSU, just my 2 cents..GL..

Boom how are you liking BV calling your plays defensively? As an OU fan he was the biggest Jekyll/Hyde coach around. Masterful defensive showings against Texas and at FSU last year then gets obliterated by Tech, Baylor and others. He runs such a complex D that players sometime don't understand assignments. I think this week Clemson puts on a masterpiece on D. This is where he will shine.

Look at the 2 teams you mentioned he done very well against... then look at the other 2.... notice anything?
It's the offense man...
I dont care who you are or what scheme your running. If your style of defense doesn't suit your scheme well then you will have problems.
Texas and FSU both ran a more conservative down hill pro style attack..... Venables likes to keep his linebackers facing the QB which means they attack and react. If you space him out he struggles a little.. If your having to run a lot more dime you cant keep those conventional LB's on the field. When he plays Baylor and Texas Tech they spread him out and he has to resort to more Dime. By doing this Venables gets out of his comfort zone..... When Venables gets out of his Comfort zone I notice something...... He will drop back in zone a lot more. If his players are in zone there not doing what he likes the most.... read and react
I like Venables. I think he is a good coach. I think his scheme is designed to stop the run and bend but dont break.

I have been silently following boom for a couple years now. His insight and information are great tools. Be positive in his threads and good things will happen. 3 things I have learned.
1. People with class don't go into others houses and bash them.
2. People with class are easy to be around because they are comfortable with themselves.
3. People without class, well, nothing else really matters.
In closing be positive or start your own threads and see how many followers you get.

exactly, ND might not cover the spread but it won't be because of a let down. For the reasons stated above one of their biggest rivals in the second ever night game in South Bend. I expect to see a close game that ND pulls out b/c the fans are going to be insane.

Paddy - Colorado is horrid... with that being said. I find it hard to lay taht many points with a team that isnt use to laying that many points. Just a history lesson ya know, can they handle it? Im a big believer in Leach, but this team needs more time to gel before they start laying points like that... Im not saying it wont cover, Im just saying

i attended colorado and i get their sprots newsletter everyday. their team is in complete disarray and their coach [embree] and their ad are getting tons of nasty e-mails and twitters. i know that wazzu is not a juggernaut, but i believe that with leach at the helm and at home, and despite the points they are laying, wash. st. is the best bet of the week.
