not a bad spot for TX at all....there will be no letdown.  if TX beat OU by 30, big chance of that. 

public is going to back Mizzou in this one and could be in for rude awakening----special teams and defense could put up 14 points easily in this one, just like last year. 

ball_picker---the shame about MIA is TX went through 4 TOP 10 teams last year and still didn't get in nat. championship.  MIA can cry all they want.

Every week I keep thinking that I will see a Texas offense..... I am still waiting.  They do have an excellent defense; hard to challenge that. Rather we like it or not; if Texas runs the table, they will be in Pasadena.

I do not understand why there is not more outrage over how we determine our national champion. We sit back like a bunch of sheep and let some old farts protect their power structure; while we have to live with this heavily flawed BCS "selection" process.

These people would be totally irrelevant in any conversation that even mentioned the word football if they were not "ROYALTY" Who the F*CK appointed them to those thrones??????

It's time to get a playoff of at least 8 teams. The FCS has done it for years and have not suffered any negative effects as forewarned by the "committee".

That sounds kind of like I should say; "commrade" after it doesn't it???  It should; it's pretty damn close. THEY know whats best for us.

akuakoi, I cannot argue with you that USC plays a tougher schedule.  What I can say is tough luck.  USC lost to an average Washington team.  They should have taken care of business.  If they were going to lose a game, that certainly should not have been the one to lose. 

This will be a moot point by season's end.  USC will lose another game.  It could be this weekend, it could be against Oregon, Stanford, or Arizona.  USC's offense can't win a game for them with Barkley this year.

It is laughable what some people in this thread are saying.  If Texas and Florida go undefeated, there is no doubt that they deserve to play in the National Title Game.  So what if they played a weak non-conference schedule.  Going undefeated in the SEC and Big XII is more than enough to earn a spot in the championship.

It is a bogus argument to say that there are other teams out there that could beat them because you could say the same for every team.  If those other teams were so good, they shouldn't have lost.  They have nobody to blame but themselves.   

Akuakoi...Get the facts right before posting garbage about how Texas plays all their road games against non-ranked teams.  Oklahoma state is ranked.  Missouri was at one point also and the Oklahoma game was on a nuetral field.  Also, both Texas and Florida will have to win there conference championship game. According to your schedule for USC, Ohio state is the best team they play this year.  What is so impressive about that?

Instead of bitching that these teams are overrated, bitch at the teams you think are better for losing a game.  Its simple, win and you do not have to worry about everything else. 

I get sick of hearing USC fans whine every year when they can't even get through a weak conference schedule without losing a game.

Finally, do not blame Texas and Florida for playing in the title game if they go undefeated and you think they are overrated.  Blame the system if you do not like it.  But untill the system is fixed, blame all those other teams for not winning games you think they should have won.

alright, ive read enough.  i am a texas homer to be sure, so take it for what its worth.  texas for one reason or another has not put it all together offensively and defensively for 4 quarters i get that;  this week i truely feel different.  for one, mizzou is one dementional, everyone knows that.  even if they had a run game you cant run the ball on us PERIOD!  this is going to allow for serious passing game game planning by will muschamp.  i still feel that we run a lot of man in hopes that our front four have a shot at qb.  i think sergio kendle has a MONSTER game.  as far as the offense is concerned we are finding out who want to play.  we've made some serious adjustments in our wide receiver core that i feel is going to carry us through the season.  the real question all year has been our run game.  i LOVE LOVE LOVE that fozzy whittaker is truely healthy, and i think if greg davis is not the bone head i know him to be, he will have a significant game plan for the run.  i think we show our true colors this week.  i never bet the horns, but i am laying it out there this week.  i think they buck the ATS record and win big, ill say a modest 42-17 win. 

This is the match-up you come up with even if after both Flo and Tex won out??

You do know that Flo is most likely to play Ala in the SEC Championship game, meaning for Flo to win all its games, they have to beat Ala?? If either one of them doesn't make it there, that team won't be in the NC game anyway.

USC-- there are talks that USC would beat Was if Barkley was playing in the game, but the same people did say USC would win EVEN with the back-up so......
