last season i went 9-1 in week 1 and 7-2 in week 2... i was more than doubled-up by week 3 (2.5 times, actually)... i bet every game for the same amount and didn't bet a single parlay...
again, i do not advise this... as i said in my original post... but it's how i build my bankroll quickly...
if, hypothetically, i were to have a losing first week, i would be forced to go into reserve a bit... but until that actually happens i don't worry about it...

This is also what alot of people fail to realize, there is not only 1 way to make money at sports betting! This post was funny because I totally agree with BigDaddy that betting your BR the first week is crazy, but I ALSO totally agree with Ice on what he said above. If your serious about making money in sports betting, you need to do alot of research and find a way that works FOR YOU on a consistent basis. If you find that breaking up your units into 1,2,3 unit plays works, great. If flat betting every game seems to make you more successful, then go with that. If you found that you can practically sweep the board in week 1 CFB on a consistent basis (and I would definitely classify 15 years as being consistent), then go for it! Whether I or Joe Schmo thinks its crazy or not, it works for you and makes you money.
The main caviat in my rambling above is you need to research! Just because you were hitting at 65% betting ML dogs last year does not mean you should up your unit amounts this year on the same category of bets. It needs to be proven over multiple seasons that you can do this before I would increase wagers. Keep records of your bets! Do this for multiple seasons and see where you excel and where you suck.
