I'm calling an ND victory by at least 10. Their D looked tough and I have a feeling Charlie was hiding something. Very vanilla offense against SDSU not utilizing their strengths. Running on the weak side of the line, not utlizing TE Kyle Rudolphs size and not throwing to a wide open Michael Floyd. Remember that name! The only two touchdowns Clausen threw were on audibles he called at the line of scrimmage. I take ND here.

ND was unable to dominate either line of scrimmage against probably the worst team in D-IA
Michigan's D-line will have Powlus Jr on his knees more than a Notre Dame altar boy
Michigan's offense is bad but at least they don't turn it over, ND will have at least 3 turnovers against UM's opportunistic D
Special Teams is another area UM has a big advantage in, ND's kicking game is horrible and in a low scoring game like this FG's could easily be the difference

The early money was obviously on Michigan @ a +3 which then moved to a pick...
I think Michigan is possibly the better team (possibly), but it's hard to say when you're judging which teams sucks more than the other. I would anticipate this being a close low scoring game than can flip either way. No play for me..

I love the ND homers trying to convince us that ND showed signs of life on offense this past Saturday by putting up 3 TDs against national powerhouse SDSU.
A little perspective on this:
CAL POLY (out of the Great West Conf.) OUT SCORED ND by 8 points when facing the same pitiful Aztec defense just a week prior.
For anyone still disillusioned at how poorly ND performed in their season opener, the stats speak for themselves; see below.
And one last note concerning "points left on the field", (hate to even be countering such a lame point) don't forget that if the Aztecs don't drop the Irish a gift by fumbling on the goaline going in, SDSU very conceivably wins the game.

Are there any Notre Dame fans on this Covers forum willing to call a spade, a spade?
Only Notre Dame rooter's seem to think they'll win this weekend.
I am a huge JETS fan.. and with that said, I know if my JETS lined up across, let's say, the Cowboys(which we don't this year).. but, what I'm getting at is.. I can assume with great accuracy the outcome of this match up, given from what I've witnessed during the season of my team's level of play, and their opponent's. The outcome wouldn't be favorable for us JETS fans in a Cowboys match up.. even with Brett, and what he brings. Doesn't mean I'm not in the rankings for "#1 JETS fan".. it simply implies that I'm not being disillusive in regards to being one.
I don't know what Notre Dame fans, or any who thinks they'll win this game are seeing?.. and pardon if I give the impression of being Mr. Know-it-all.. but, I do know the outcome of "this" game, which is why I feel it's as strong a play as taking the points with UCLA, or Vandy covering seven against Rice. No doubt, you can make the claim that there's better plays for a wager.. but, this one sticks out like a, "lion zooming in on the old, lame buffalo.." and after witnessing Michigan's lost to Utah, and their win against Miami of Ohio.. and Notre Dame's win against the Aztecs.. it became my "pick of the week" midway through the first quarter of the ND/Aztec match up. Everyone's afraid off because it's two weak teams.. but, in all actuality, it's probably one of the best bets out there.. because of the outcome being so predictable. Yep, it really would shock the s*** outta me if Notre Dame pulled it off.. and that's a requirement before I lay money on it.. it has to, "shock me" if it doesn't come through.. and not saying a Notre Dame victory couldn't be done, but, like I said, it would really shock the s*** outta me, given from what I've witnessed.. so, immediately, I was all over it!

Jiggaman.. lol.. I'm 30. I've been a JETS fan since I was 5. I probably started, "getting what was going on" with NFL football by the age of 7.. I'ma young buck, but I got an old soul that bleeds Green & White! I don't know alot about other teams, but I do know alot about my JETS! There were no, "Tunka" trucks for me, no electric race tracks.. simply Green and White, baby!.. and if it wasn't, I wasn't interested..
lol.. I know my team.
From what I witnessed during week one.. seems to me team's are trying to take a page outta the Giants playbook.. with about 5 or 6 team's d-line really "getting after it" like the G-men did all of last year.. makes for an interesting season, if they can keep it up.. as well as a profitable one.
My JETS d-line wasn't in the mix of the 5, or 6 forementioned. Our secondary is our strong suit, followed by the linebackers and the d-line, in no particular order. Signing Jenkins was big.. I wish we'd release Bryan Thomas.. D'Brickashaw is uneffective against half-decent ends.. let's see if he's improved.
See, I'm a FANATIC!! I've came across tons of "Homers", and didn't realize that's what you even called them.. prior to joining covers.
FANATIC'S, "call it" as it is.. whether it's win, lose, or draw.
We wouldn't beat the Cowboys, due to our "D" not being quite there, yet.

I thought we all placed money on the game with the most predictable outcome.. no matter how weak the two teams are.. even in this "sorry" excuse for a match-up, one of these "sorry" teams is still 5x better than the other.. Michigan rolls!!

You guys obviously dont follow Notre Dame (or Michigan for that matter). Notre Dame will win this game by 2 scores. Notre Dame has been outscored by the Woverines 80-21 the last 2 years. This is Notre Dame's biggest game of the year becuase if they lose this their season will go down the drain and Charlie will be taking MAJOR critisicm for losing 3 straight to Big Blue. Dont be a sucker the play is Notre Dame. They took the Aztecs for granted (who wouldnt with your arch nemesis coming to town the next week). Charlie probably spent a week scouting them but I know Michigan has been on those boys in South Bend minds all summer.
Have you guys even seen Michigan play...trust me Notre Dame will come out like World Beaters on Saturday....Rich Rod couldnt even get his mighty WV to beat their rivals at home to go to the NC game let alone take an average Michigan team into South Bend and get a win.
One thing I know is Michigan football. Charlie is going to go for 50 if he can.
