I was drooling when I saw 3 points for TAMU. These guys will drop the hammer on OKLA IMO..... Faced tougher competition with a better QB who has intangibles that you can't even describe in a better conference with better defenses.... Tamu got progressively stronger as the season moved on.... Both games against FL and LSU were winnable games for them.... Oh and they beat BAMA in BAMA....

Mice, I just can't get over the Oklahoma games vs. West Virginia. The Sooners defense was carved up in that game.
West Virginia had 778 yards of offense and 458 of those yards were rushing! And that's not the first time they've been gashed on the ground. Oklahoma state ran for over 200 as well.
A&M is a running team who does throw it well. But there is no fixing this sooner run defense, no matter how much time you give them. It comes down to talent, and they don't have it at the D-line and linebacker positions. And let's not forget that A&M has one of the best offensive lines in all of college football. That's a bad recipe. Oklahoma will start pulling the safeties in to help with the run, then BAM, play action over the top and nothing but huge plays all game long.
And on the other side I see Oklahoma passing with a high level of success against an average A&M secondary. The only time they played a true passing team this year was when they played La. Tech. And they compiled a total of 615 yards with 450 of those through the air. You can pass on this team and Oklahoma will be able to move the ball down the field all night long.
I know the rest and all that stuff sometimes matters. But I just don't think it matters here. Neither team with great defense. That's not who they are. And all of a sudden things are going to change because of a 4 week layoff? I don't see why. Unless they've gotten new players on defense nothing will change.
Final score
48-41

Hey Joe-Joe I agree I said both teams could easily put up 40-45 pts. These guys know each other. They've played each other every year for forever. And there have been a few that totalled in the 80's. And if you look at the history's (I know it doesn't matter to anyone but me) most of the high scoring games were with Stoops covering and Sooners in revenge mode. I just don't see an over. I'm wrong alot.
And I threw the WVa game out. Why? Morgantown is a tough venue. Sooners were in a Baylor-Ok St sandwich (both already BIG bowl winners). Geno Smith put up numbers on all 3 of these teams. You are proving the point I always preach...WV a style and match-up that the Big12 was new to. A & M doesn't present that problem. Im wrong alot tho
SDSU thanks Ive had decent Bowl season. GL
