Can someone tell me why the Horns will cover vs a team in which will have big revenge on their minds from last years Colt Mccoy play in which he threw the ball out bounds and clock ticked off but Texas was given another play with the winning fg .. Nebraska looks a bunch better vs prime time teams .. What am I missing gents ???

I clearly don't think the Prime time teams that Nebraska beat (Kansas St- who should have lost to Central Florida and who might lose to terrible Kansas this week; Washington= average at best) are even close to Oklahoma. I'm not sure what happened to Texas in the UCLA game but I think Texas is young on offense and have improved significantly since that game. They played pretty well in the second half of that Oklahoma game. I mean if that dude grabs the ball in the 4th, they have a chance. So Texas gets a week off to prepare for a team that can't throw the ball and has a young QB. Texas has a great defensive QB and has to hear how bad they are for 2 straight weeks. Both of those are things most people overlook and get blinded by NU's impressive victories over cupcakes. Yes, NU will be mad for last year's loss, but Texas will be mad about hearing how shitty they are for 2 straight week's. In a game where there are not too many advantages other than home field, I think 10 points is a gift.

They have the speed on defense to stop the option attack enough to stay within. Muschamp gets two weeks to prepare here. I have the line at 7 so I think 10 is way too high just due to simple public perception of Nebraska running all over bad defenses

I forget what the statistics are for the rushing defense of the teams nebraska beat but they are ridiculous (3 are over 80 or worse nationally). Nebraska won't do shit offensively on sat

we will see how it goes, but 10 seems a bit too high. Huskers have not played a good defense yet and this will be a great test for the husker offense. The Texas D has talent all over the field, but what has that talent done? It got ran over by UCLA...maybe they overlooked the Bruins?? I can go with that....then what happened against OU? The game was not near as close as the score indicated..OU dominated the ballgame and did what they wanted against Texas D. Texas O line has not been able to run block against Wyoming, against Rice, against Bruins, against OU....maybe they magically get it together here?? Perhaps, but this is the best defense they will go against all year.....this Husker team is quite a bit better then the Husker team they barely beat by 1 point a year ago in the Big 12 champ game. Couple of questions that will determine the game IMO (revenge, last year of big 12 play, etc out the window here):
1) Can Texas run against Huskers? Like stated above, they have not run all year, why now? If they can, they will be in this game..if they go for 150-175 on the ground, it will be a close game imo 2) Can Texas pass against Huskers? Not likely...Huskers have best secondary in college football imo, #1 rated pass D (Locker was a Heisman contender, no? He is still going to be drafted high, right? What happened there? What happened to Colt passing last year against Huskers? I cannot see them passing against them here. 3) Can Huskers run against Texas - this is the major question mark...Horns talent is large, but they are not playing up to it yet this year??? They have speed and size and the success or lack thereof for Huskers running game will likely determine the game imo. I agree. Texas has a very fast defensive. I don't think Taylor Martinez will be running away from defenders so easily in this game. I love Texas in this game. I think they will win straight up. I will definitely have a little ML action happening here.

I have been a Texas fan most of my life and I watch the games. Texas sucks this year. They were lucky to beat a crummy Texas Tech team and Im suprised that they came as close to Oklahoma as they did. A mediocre UCLA team handled them easily. I believe that the entire big 12 is down this year and as much as I hate to say it, Nebraska seems to be the cream of the Big 12 this year, which aint saying much! I have a long standing rule that I dont bet on crummy teams, which leaves Texas out. There are much better games out there to bet on this week!

In case nobody noticed, Nike now makes cement shoes. KSU's LB's and Safeties are trying them out this season. Trial results have been absolutely negative, but they'll give it an entire season before making any final conclusions.
