i guess the funniest thing is he keeps tryin to drop names to give his post some validity. the only problem with that is even if those are plays from fezzik and walters does anyone realize that they could be on the losing side as well. just because fezzik makes a play does not mean its guaranteed to win.he and everyone else lose just as many plays as they win. i was hanging out with fezzik right before the nfl season began and he was hammering the broncos season win total under 6.5 until he moved it from -110 to  -150. worked out well when the broncos won their first 6 games in a row and his future bet was done halfway through the season. the point is nothing is guaranteed. just becuase you work in a book and see some big bettors come in means nothing. almost every guy i know that works in a book is a degenerate gambler that cant cap for shit but always seem to have some inside info that only he is privy to.just like every railbird in poker. its hard to be credible when youre a perpetually broke gambler who works at an 8 buck an hour ticket writing job

Man, if I had a solid "in" like CJACK, I personally would not waste any time posting this and go ahead and apply for a HELOC, wager up, sit back and start planning what to do with the guaranteed earnings.  Oh shit....I just wasted 45 seconds of my day.

Anyway BOL to you, CJACK and especially to the ones that are basing their Nat'l. CS wager based upon this outside info.       BAMA 22    TEXAS 13

Where does crusher 13 get his reasoning from.   Quote if a line goes down then vegas is trying to get you to bet the dog, what kind of bullshit is that?    If a line goes down then vegas is trying to trap you in to betting the favorite not the dog idiot.    The best advice i can give to Crusher 13 is [" SOMETIMES TAKING THE WORST OF THE LINE IS ACTUALLY TAKING THE BEST OF THE LINE.]     Big games are always controlled by Vegas and the majority of the money is coming down on Alabama because they beat Florida and Texas nearly escaped Neb.  Ask yourself how good is Neb. after whipping and almost shutting out Ariz.

Maybe the 6th day of the decade.  Century I'm not so sure about.  And I went to school in Cicero!

I really deslike posting in this thread because I am not sure what to make of the poster, but a few things:

1.) I decided way before this Cjack guy ever posted that Texas was my strongest play of the bowls.  (I have a good bowl history if you have read previous posts and last years' picks (worth looking at if you want to doubt this)

2.) I respect Jimmy Da Greek's picks, especially as they pertain to BAMA as he knows them very well

3.) Hate to say this boys, but BAMA lose outright

Cjack.  My feeling is that this game should be somewhere around a pick on a neutral field.  Bama would be 3 to 3- at home.  After each of their last games, everybody sat on their couch and said, "Alabama is going to crush Texas".  That is why, in my opinion the line is so high.  Bama played their best game aof the year, and Texas played their worst game of the year.  Again...............public perception has opened this line high.  I think Texas wins this game outright.  They could have put it as high as 6- and still got more Bama action than Texas.

    Good luck bud.

interesting stat:  McElroy only completed 38% of passes inside the red zone.  Texas is a much better red zone team, period.

    Thawv,

The line opened at -5 and went to -6, which I believe is where cjack initially stated the play at in the first thread on 12/16 at 3:37. Now I am not saying cjack is legit or getting involved in the drama, but it is very likely that the "sharps" (which do exist, Fez won the hilton contest for the second straight year, which is NFL, not CFB) took this game at its peak at 6 and will stick with it or come over the top when the line settles at 3 or 2.5, which it most likely will. Just putting this all into perspective. The value at +4 is still there, but the sharps got in at +6, which may or may not matter, but it needs to be recognized that these two numbers are very different. Much larger opportunity to middle with +6 than +4. Anyway just thought I would make some sense of the mess this has become.

Oh and I know no real key numbers are crossed there between 4-6, but 3 and 7 are more key in NFL than CFB, where 4 tends to matter more.

Still waiting for the line to drop from 4 like you said it would... I'd feel much more confident about my Texas +4 bet if it fell...

What idiot linesmaker would adjust this line to 2.5 or 3 or even 3.5? You already admitted that significant moeny came in at TEX at +5.5. A book would be foolish to drop to +3 and downright retarded to drop to +2.5. The manager of any book offering 2.5 tomorrow should be fired on the spot.
