Line Movement for Thursday Ole Miss/S.Carolina

Im confused about this game, the line movement went up a whole point which makes me nervous.  Did the betting public bet that much on Ole Miss?  I mean look at all the postings here on this forum, majority of these postings are for S.Carolina to win.  So why would the line go up, if all the "Sharps" are going SC?  I like SC tonight too, I think SC got good value, esp now because its at +4.5.  Whose betting Ole miss for that line to move?  Does this circustance take away the edge and value off SC?  Thoughts?

because most of the people on these forums study these games and are smart...thats why we are all betting against joe public tonight

I understand, I liked SC also when it opened up at +3.5.  But im just curious who hyped up Ole Miss for it to move?  I mean even joe public gotta understand that Ole Miss played no one with the caliber that SC has played against right?

ole miss is at -4.5 and is now being juiced -120 at betus.com

It was like an hour ago... I swear it was 5.5.... I seen other posts on here also that confirmed it in other posts....It is at 4.5 right now, as I just checked.... It was 5.5 like an hour ago though..

no, the average bettor sees the #4 team in the nation favored by less than a TD and they are all over it,not even thinking about it...Vegas is rolling with SC and so am i

Juiced at -120 makes me confident again.  That makes more sense to me

I  really  believe that  the  line  movement  is  like  a  vacuum  cleaner  sucking  up  bets on all  sides.,  no  publiuc  moves  just
the  books  sucking  up  bets.,,,,  stimulating  action.

Just got cold called from some tout.
He gave me USC at plus 3.5
take it for what it is worth.

the "sharps" in vegas are why the line has gone up...if you like South Carolina, then dont sweat it, your getting some more "value"...if all the money was coming in on ole' miss and the line sits tight, then you might have something with south carolina..
 
just play who you like in the game.....if you win, you can pat yourself on the back. if you lose, you cant blame anyone else

That is a really good perspective.  If your right, then bookies are making Ole Miss look like a really good bet, which makes me even more confident on SC.

SC is still sitting at +5.5 (-115) at one of my books. Majority of the board is on Ole Miss or want to take them. There were few posts today backing SC. If sharps are on this game (which I dont believe they are) then they would of made a play on Monday or so. The line didnt began to climb until yesterday morning and any moves today is just the public and or sharp betters buying more or selling off. There is big money on Ole Miss which is why the line is rising but Big money does not equate to sharp money.

Thats a good point about the timing of the line movement.  I guess Sportscenter and ESPN Hyped up Ole Miss.  Especially with that #4 ranking

I think Ole Miss is ESPN's flavor of the week. That would explain some recent action on Rebels. This is not the time for anybody to be changing your minds; if you don't feel good about your side by now; you are probably never going to know how to play this one. SC players can just use this to get a little more value.
