K State is the sucker bet of the week.  Even the homers can't think they lose.

as Boom accurately portrays, K State's pass D can't stop WV.  They won't punt more than once.  They don't have the athletes to stop Austin/Bailey.

and we get great line value because of last weekend.  WV-3 BIG, BIG, BIG.

kstatecat, with all do respect to u and the cats... not only is this a terrible spot for the cats its the worst possible matchup they can have bottom line..... 1st even if they slow the game down they wont be able to its at morgantown at night... Wvu will crowd that box and when they fall behind by a few scores they are going to have to open it up.... Noway K state can matchup outside with these guys... Wvu hugh mismatch is speed.. Geno is going to pick these guys apart...jmho

I think the total goes up to 76-77. Get the over now, or wait for the under.

If K State is able to move the rock with time consuming drives -- which I think they will-- they take this game.  I'm fairly certain I'll be on the ML.  Like the pick Cat.

    Any thoughts on Iowa St?

I agree with most everybody that WV is going to be able to move the ball at will at the same time Kstate will do the same.  However Kstate has the much better defense and will have to come up with a few KEY and i mean KEY stops in this game, which i think they WILL.  Not only will they cover but they will win.

    KSU: 5-1 ATS(overall) 2-0 ATS (away)
    WV: 2-4 ATS(overall) 1-2 ATS (home)

Easy picks- Kstate +3, Kstate +128

Well, I certainly do like Iowa State +14.  Very underated team.  Obviously, Oke State isn't even close to the same level they were last year.  Don't have much insight for you but feel pretty strong taking the points in this game.

I can see your point on the speed for WVU offensively.  I also agree that this is a bad spot for the Cats to come into a hostile environment.  However, I am sticking with my pick.  Kansas State will adjust to them loading the box.  Trust me, Snyder has already anticipated that and will have a game plan if that does indeed happen.  Lets not forget that Kansas State is fast defensively as well.  Our O-Line is blocking awesome right now and I don't see that changing.  Best of luck!

and we get great line value because of last weekend.  WV-3 BIG, BIG, BIG.

One thing is for sure that we all know now.  Last week Texas was the sucker bet of the week after OU finger fucked UT out of the stadium.  Ya, thats right, Texas came out of that game with their horns shoved up their ass.  I typically never cheer for OU but it sure did make us look good at the ass pounding they gave the bonghorns.

I said bet OU actually.  I also said to fade TX vs. WV (both posted, go check)

Your homerism is blatant.  Your pass D sucks against the best receiver tandem in football and WV sucks against the pass which isn't your offense.

76th in passing yards given up per game. 239.3 yards per game.
    87th in opponent QB's complete percentage. 61.9%
86th in passing plays given up of 10 yards or more. 62 plays.

I wasn't referring to you making any kind of recommendation on a bet.  I was simply saying two things:
1: Texas was a sucker bet last week
    2: Texas got used

Hey, I am just providing input on two teams that I watch closely.  Frankly, I wouldn't have much insight on teams outside of the big 12.  I predominantly watch Big 12 football.  With that in mind, if you have a problem with my opinion or as you put "homerism" then fuck off.  Not much more to it than that.  Sorry bud, just leave.  Wait for my write up for when we play the horns at the end of the season.

west virginia defense is awful, how can anyone back them.

kansas st will make enough stops on defense to win the game.

Obviously I'm not a homer but you gotta like his response.  STFU  bolynn .... like it.

As far as the game, IMHO... Synder is a genious with his game time plan, maybe the best Big12 coach ever considering the resurrection .."Since 1993, Kansas State has won an average of nearly nine games per season, and, as a result, has earned a well-deserved reputation as one of the best programs in all of college football"  Quote KSU football website.  Klein will run the clock down to 2 seconds without question.  It's ingrained in him.  This kid (Klein) is farm tough which means the world to K-Staters, he really is a college stud. He should get an invite ,but may not which would be a shame because they don't/won't push it, for the Heisman (blame A.D John Currie).  This game is pivotal for him.  I know this is a battle tester team over the last two years but I think it's time they shit the bed. KState has a beast at LB with Arthur Brown but they aren't pass oriented and I think Holgerson has got to have an outside game plan.  After last weeks WV beat down it's gonna happen (yes ...spot play at home). Seriously .... Geno Smith at home after a beat down?  This will cost this guy millions in the draft if they don't show. Pressure on him?  ... I don't know.  Honestly I root for the Cat's but I think this is the week that it ends. It's gotta happen soon cause there's no way they make it through the Big 12 undefeated ... it can't happen.  The cards are against Big12 in N.C. game.  Not a hater cause my Tigers have sucked and Snyder is the man but let me say ..... "Time has come today ....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHfB63ln1Ig.... the Chambers Brothers .  This is WV time for my money.  Night game in Morgantown .... first real Big12 challenge? .... you know It's the right side.

Have to back off from my "first Big12 challenge" statement as they throttled the Sooners in Norman.  Gotta give a shout out to the "bonus" defensive TD from Jarell Childs (KC Oak Park H.S.) reserve.  Congrats again on that victory ... well deserved.  Not a trip to Morgantown though.

Thanks for backing me up with the dipshit's comments.  I can see your point with West Virginia.  No doubt about it.  They have a stellar offense and I completely respect their team.  I was disappointed to see the lopsided victory at Tech.  I really wanted this to play out as two top ten teams going at it.  I am definately concerned about the revenge factor and the fact that we haven't played in West Virginia before unless you go back to the great depression.  I do, however, think the cats can match West Virginia touchdown for touchdown.  West Virginia avg's 6.9 yards per snap.  What a lot of people don't realize is that Kansas State avg's 6.8 yards per snap.  I also believe that Kansas State strong quality is rushing the passer.  This can be a recipe for disaster when you have a qb that is a pocket passer and doesn't scramble outside of the pocket often.  This is how Tech was successful.  However, the Tech game was windy, which is why you saw Geno overthrow some passes.

I am obviously a K State fan and Alumni.  I am trying to be as subjective as I can on the game to give good insight to other bettors since I understand Kansas State Football very good and have watched them for a very very long time.  However, on paper this has everything set up to be an excellent football game.  If Kansas State can come out and play the ball that they are capable of, then we have a very good shot at winning the game.

One point I would like to make...I would not come on here and do a write up for other bettors and tell them to take the cats because I am being bias.  That would be very misleading on my part and wouldn't want any gamblers to take my view so they lose.  Simply providing my opinion and anybody can take it for what it is worth.  I respect everybody else's opinion, other than the ones that insinuate I am being bias so I can mislead them to losing a bet.  Why the hell would I do that?  Good luck to everybody!  Saturday is just about here.

CAT - Great write up man; I definitely think you have some solid points.

Boom - You also make some solid points.

    IMO here is the difference...

    1) K-State has gone on the road facing two great teams (Beating OU 24-19 and Iowa State 27-21)

    2) K-State really has "nothing to lose".. No one ever gives this team the credit they deserve - I know this because I am a Nebr fan

    3) The pressure is on W.V. as back to back losses would absolutely cripple this team..  This game is a "must win" for them..

Honestly, I will be avoiding this game, possibly betting the OVER... I think it comes down to coaching and I have to give K-State the edge..

So, if someone had a gun to my head and asked, "who would you pick", it would be K-State with the points..

    BUT, WTF do I know
