Iowa is not a team that is equipped to come from behind.  When they gave up a 75-yard touchdown, and two non-offensive touchdowns with the first 16 minutes of the game, that was pretty much a wrap.

Going into the game, I was confident that Iowa would have a lot of success running the ball behind their huge offensive live versus Stanford's suspect run defense.  Unfortunately that matchup never really came to fruition because Iowa was forced out of their game plan right from the start.

What we saw play out in the second half is more what I expected to see the entire ballgame.

 

Jimmy I don't think anyone expected Tree to do that, if they did there stupid because they did not fly to Vegas and take all they had and put down on Standord.  I am still reeling on how some of these bowls have been Such a blow out. 

Yeah, either bettors were really right, or really wrong.  There was no in-between.  I expected a couple of blowouts, but the Florida/Michigan (which I expected it to be a low-scoring slugfest), and Stanford/Iowa games certainly took me by surprised.

 

I will be betting Ole Miss 2nd half blind.  I won't be around to post it.

 

Question Freak, we have all seen teams that get blown in the first half and cruise in the second,  Utah, Stanford.  If ole Miss is up big at the end of the first, would you still take Ms. the second.  Thanks for your  thoughts.

As a TT you should gladly take 17' at plus money. 18 is a very unlikely TT to land on. You would need six field goals, or a missed extra point or a safety. I am not saying it won't land on 18, just very very unlikely. Better to take 17' at plus money. Good luck which ever way you play it

You guys did understand that Iowa was a complete fraud and had way less 4 and 5 star athletes especially at skill positions vs Stanford and other top 20 teams, right? Easy schedule clearly masked this...

I really liked the Ducks when they were getting points before the Boykin news.  I'm not crazy about laying 7 points, but I suppose I'll buy the hook, and ride Oregon -6.5.  Still undecided at this time though.

 

In true Georgia fashion - and the reason I never bet on them - they did everything in their power to blow the ball game.  All they had to do was bring pressure on the freshman QB, but they sat back and allowed him to throw from a clean pocket the entire 4th quarter, and most importantly, on all four 4th quarter 4th downs - all of which were easily converted.  A stop on any of those 4th downs would have essentially ended the game.

Sooooooooo . . . my 2nd half UNDER goes down the tubes!!!
