Is everyone gonna be shocked if Ohio State beats Georgia?

The Buckeyes are a very live dog in this game and everyone is gonna talk for a month about how great UGA is and OSU couldn't even compete with Michigan.. It's all about matchups and styles make fights, UGA hasn't faced any type of passing attack even close to this one all year. UGA has problems if you stretch them out and their DB's give up way too much for a team that has such a good front 4. Only a 6.5 point favorite eh? Is this not the first time they've not been a double digit fave all year? 

I watched LSU and the back up shred that Georgia D..especially when they could not get pressure...I will be all over TOSU..not the same Georgia team as last year...Good but the great team they were last year...+7 looks mighty good..1 possession game..

they are a very good team, but their defense is not the same as last year they just haven't played anyone good enough to make that part of their defense show.. and if you put up some points through the air with a bunch of NFL wideouts.. I'd just like to see Stetson go tit for tat and not throw out of luxury but necessity, the two times I've seen him have to they got blown out both times in those games the last two years.

Sure. 35-10 lead at HT. Ohio State might cover, you might win the lottery too. Maybe not that extreme. Ohio State out of their league, again, literally. Favored by a TD is fair, it's the playoffs for God's sake. Who has the extra gear, the ability to close out an opponent? Georgia offense underestimated, no one talks about them. They just hung up 50 in the SEC Championship game. 50. Michigan threw up 45 on the Buckeyes. In the horseshoe. How many points will Georgia score? If it's more than 40, hang on to your Buckeye money.

To complete this, if you think Georgia won't score more than 30, Ohio State may be the play. Do the math and keep your fingers crossed. BTW, LSU rushing, 20 carries 47 yards. Georgia? 255 yards rushing. Michigan vs Ohio St? 252 yards rushing. . But GL whatever you decide to do.

 I watched App St. beat Michigan about 15 years ago........so no, it wouldn't shock me. Can't say I share your enthusiasm though. The game is more than 3 weeks away. I might bet it now, wait & see who's still playing, then possibly bet it again.

I think tOSU vs UM part II is what this was lining  up to be, anyone noticed that the projected line for that game? Buckeyes are a 3.5 favorite. We had the same teams from the same conference last year with the NCG.

Also would like to point out that Georgia had their second unit in when nussmier came in and he had some really crazy throws that ended up working … but when Georgia first unit was in they shut down lsu 

The best thing happened to Georgia Saturday. They got shredded whether it was the starters or not (and yes, Ringo was still in the game at CB). For those that know Kirby, he will drill this for 3 straight weeks. Georgia's defense will be ready to play, no doubt. And everyone says it is not the same defense as last year, agreed. Last years team gave up about 10 ppg. this year's team regressed to averaging giving up 11 ppg.

This... LSU just gave Kirby something to be intense about for an entire month. Georgia is a better version of Michigan and Ohio St does not have the physical or mental toughness to deal with it for 60 minutes; Ryan Day has made them one of the softest programs in the country.

That being said, the OVER is the best play here. UGA's DBs will be exposed a few times undoubtedly, but OSU just doesn't have the dudes to cover UGA's playmakers. 38-31 UGA

Kind of feels like the 2014 season, eh?   I don't think the upset will happen, but you never know...

 Here’s the main issue. UGA winning the battle in the trenches and Stroud being pressured. He’s not great under pressure. Hard to see Ohio state getting many stops defensively. They’re just not a physical, violent enough football team and it doesn’t work vs teams like Michigan & I would classify UGA as Michigan on steroids. 

Equalizer in this situation is 4 weeks to prep. Kirby was great last year, had the perfect game plan to eliminate the Michigan edges and attack the weaknesses. OSU clearly has issues on defense. Let’s see what Ryan Day can dial up vs that Dawgs D. Overall don’t think it’s a good matchup for OSU. 

Im an SEC guy, and as some may remember my largest play of the season was on UGA in the rematch against Bama last year. I think the question that people need to ask themselves about this years Georgia team, what is the most talented roster they played against this year? Have they played any team this year that could even remotely come close to the talent and depth threshold of them? They had one of if not the most mundane and favorable SEC schedules i've ever seen, and the SEC is not very good on top of that because the West has now fallen below the East and about 5 years ago that seemed like an impossibility. This is a challenge they've yet to face, everyone can keep hanging onto the last time they saw Buckeyes play, but that's not how football works and you'll be in for a shock the next time they take the field. Do I expect Ohio State to win? no, but I think there is a likely chance it could happen and the line is not near enough points if people think UGA is so much better than everyone else.
