Don't forget Shannon's clock mismanagement,  Remember, he called a timeout after an incomplete pass vs Cal in the bowl when they were in the 2 minute offense.

Maybe G Tech gets a couple of long plays on shovel passes, so that yardage doesn't count as rushing.

I don't think UNC will have much offense this year...The defense looks great.. UNC might be a good team to hit the UNDER alot with..

That post had me in tears. I do agree that it can't get any worse. I have never seen a FB run up the middle that many times in an option offense without being touched. Maybe back in the days when OU and Nebraska were like 70 point favorites over Kansas State but that's about it. I love the option and even I was yelling at the TV for Miami to do something. I can't run it that easily when I am playing a video game. Tough times in South Florida.

One good thing will come from this besides me making more money from this guy being on the sidelines. After Shannon, Miami will be forced to make a huge splash and hire a big-time coach. Then that guy will take all the talent Shannon recruited and couldn't coach and win with it. So the Canes will be back shortly, as soon as they fire Shannon at season's end. As a matter of fact, they could win the ACC in 2010 if they hire the right guy. Talent is there. Coaching staff isn't.

Nothing you can do about it. Give the guy all the time you want. If you can't coach, you can't coach. Again, ask Alabama what happpens when you hire a real coach. Or ask Ole Miss what happens. Or how about Florida? Ask them. Had Steve Spurrier, won. Had Ron Zook, couldn't beat Iowa in bowl games. Hired Urban Meyer, went back to winning.

Just watch what FSU does to the Canes in Week 1. It won't take long for the Randy Shannon era to come crashing down. This is going to be a long, long year in Miami. Time will tell.

Those first 4 games are really tough....

I look for about a 6-6 season. But they may be a better team this year despite their record.. As far as the time out incident in their bowl game with Cal, I think you can blame that on a freshman QB combined with an imcompetent OC. The QB will be a year older, and Shannon will have a much better OC this year. Miami has almost always been a bad bet as big favorites of more than a TD. But with their defense, they could be a decent ATS bet as a dog or a very small favorite. There should be plenty of betting opportunities there.

All I can say is congrats on getting that line - I think you've got a winner there.

Certainly not this year, and probably not the next.  He is not that good.  There are a bunch of QB's better than he is this year, and many of them are underclassmen.

Harris Might be ok in some games ...
