I understand with why you think Florida will let up and rest their players for the next contest, but Florida might run up the score seeing as how Tebow is once again a Heisman candidate.
I doubt Florida will have to "open up the playbook" in order to hand the Warriors a devastating loss! They have the talent and athletes at every position to really take it to an undermanned Hawaii squad.
Even more tempting to back Florida with Graunke being out and no June Jones.
I'm trying not to buy into Florida and give up all those points, but in the back of my head I keep thinking: Georgia did lay the wood to those kids with Brennan at the helm and June Jones' calling the shots. Turnovers and a short field led to a majority of the points being scored, but c'mon UGA just dominated that game!

love your avatar but no way in hell does UH score 20pts. they only managed 10 last year vs UGA and that was arguably the best Hawaii team EVER. Fla pitches a shutout. (even with their 2nd and 3rd stringers in ) 51-0

Thanks for posting HG. People like me who live in the Eastern part of the US don't get a whole lot of Hawaii info. Having said that, I have successfully bet for and against Hawaii in years gone by.
As far as the Florida game is concerned, I pretty much agree with everything you said, and if I were to play this game, I would definitely side with Hawaii and the 35.5. What concerns me here, however, is that this game will be 12:30 p.m. EST (6:30 a.m. Hawaii time). Playing this game in the middle of the day is a HUGE advantage for the Gators because Hawaii will not be use to the humidity, and for those of us who live it everyday can tell you, that's a huge factor.
When Hawaii played Bama in '06, that was a night game. I was at the game, and I too had Hawaii +17. Hawaii had a strong 4th quarter to get an easy cover. But playing the Gators in the heat during the hottest part of the day will cause Hawaii to wilt in fourth quarter IMHO. I considered a first half wager on Hawaii but can't really justify that either because that's when Florida's starters will be in the game.

Whats Rausch all about i asked myself since ive never seen him play. Horrible! They coudnt score against the scout team. Graunkie on the other hand = scrapper and no doubt will move the ball evidently in the sugar bowl he can handle the pressure.
With brennan and junes spread offence it was either incomplete or a catch to to its playstyle. The QB under center with Rausch = more time for play to develop which causes Rausch to turn the ball over. Ive witnessed it at the scout game in which they could not score at all.
Your insight on florida not giving it all due to risk of injury and not opening the playbook does worry me. Yet based on my observation of Rausch and not scoring at all duringa scout game. IM gonna go with the gators in the swamp its gonna be a brutal season for UH.

you haven't been around long enough to see, but HG is probably against his Warriors more often than he is on them... take his advice on UH whenever he gives it as I am almost certain he is over 60% on Hawaii plays, football and basektball, and is a great inside source on what is going on with the program

First off let me say i love the write-up and information hawaiiguy. Also, i am a huge die hard gator fan but i agree with your play on hawaii here. Even more than hawaii, though i like the over. Florida has a history of coming out and putting up a ton of points against easy opponents early in the year and then allowing cheap touchdowns late. I could see them gettin up by 5 or 6 touchdowns and then only winning by a margin in the 20s. you make excellent points in your thread and im gonna have to side with you and maybe hope the line moves in our favor throughout the week. BOL but go gators
The backdoor should be at least slightly ajar if us Rainbow backers need to use it. Hopefully the Gators won't try to cover this one for the alums and they'll never have the 35 covered.

Florida's motivation to severely rout Hawaii this afternoon doesn't compare to Georgia's motivation to run it up that night. People were expecting a competitive game in the Superdome and Georgia was out to prove that Hawaii was an unworthy opponent.
