Bama -10

I Got Bama to beat Kentucky by 17 points because I think the Crimson Tide has too much talent and experience for Kentucky to keep up for four quarters. Kentuck has a new head coach, Will Stein, and even though he looks like a good coach, it is still his first season trying to build the program and get everyone comfortable with his system. Alabama also has a long history of dominating teams in the SEC, and I think that experience will matter in a game like this. The Crimson Tide also has an outstanding new quarterback, Keelon Russell, who looked really good in his first start. Against East Carolina, Russell threw for 256 yards and ran for 86 more yards and a touchdown while leading Alabama to a 48-10 win. Alabama also ran the ball extremely well, rushing for 227 yards and

Orangemen Syracuse -3

I Got the 'Cuse to beat Cal by 7 points because I think the Orange have some big advantages in this game. The biggest thing for me is Cal’s defense. They just gave up 45 points to UCLA in their season opener, which makes me think Syracuse can have a lot of success moving the ball. Cal is also starting a new era with first-year head coach Tosh Lupoi, so I think it could take some time for the team to get comfortable with everything. Syracuse, on the other hand, is coming off a win and gets to play this game at home inside the JMA Wireless Dome, where I think they are a much tougher team to beat. Syracuse has also beaten Cal before, including a win in 2024, so I like their confidence going into this matchup. The game is in Syracuse, and I think the home crowd will make a difference, especially if this game is close in the fourth quarter. My prediction is Syracuse wins 34-27, giving the Orange the 7-point victory I am looking for.

UNLV -3.5 

I really like the over 61 points, but I Got UNLV over North Texas. This ain't no 3-point game I think both teams have offenses that can put up a lot of points. UNLV has a new quarterback in Jackson Arnold, and he looked really good in the season opener against Memphis. He threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns, and UNLV finished with 460 total yards. North Texas also showed that it can move the football after putting up 367 total yards against Indiana, even though they lost 52-16. The biggest reason I like the over is that North Texas gave up 52 points in its first game, while UNLV has enough offensive talent to take advantage of a defense that struggled. I also think North Texas will be able to score some points of its own, so UNLV should not have to do all the work for the over. I can see both teams making big plays and the score going back and forth. My prediction is that UNLV wins 38-27, which would give us 65 total points and put the over 61 in a good spot.
