Florida International comes off a 27-17 win at Akron, but didn't cover as -17 point road favs. Darriet Perry set a school record for career rushing touchdowns for FIU, which snapped a two-game losing streak with the win. Perry scored twice for a total of 26 in his career. His 2-yard run tied the game at 10-10 in the second quarter, and then his 3-yard run with 12:38 to play in the game provided the final margin. Perry surpassed Rashod Smith, who ran for 24 career touchdowns. Kendrick Rhodes rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown for FIU, while Wes Carroll, who threw for 303 yards, became the first FIU player to pass for at least 300 yards in consecutive games. T.Y. Hilton also set a school record with 12 catches for 144 yards, and has at least 100 yards receiving in four games this season. The Panthers rushed for 216 yards and ended with 524 total yards in the non-conference win. Arkansas State is off a 24-19 win at UL-Monroe last week as -2½ point favorites. Ryan Aplin threw for 261 yards and a touchdown as the Red Wolves improved to 4-2 on the season. Aplin completed 27-of-43 passes, but was also picked off three times. Aplin also added 35 yards on the ground, while Dwayne Frampton caught a school record 13 receptions for 147 yards and a score. Arkansas State ended with 345 yards of offense but turned the ball over a total of four times and had 13 penalties for 130 yards. Arkansas State is playing with revenge this week after losing 31-24 last year at FIU as +4½ point underdogs. FIUs Hilton caught a 42-yard touchdown pass with 1:42 left in the game to get the win and clinch the Sun Belt Conference. Aplin threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns in the loss for the Red Wolves. FIU is 2-9 ATS as an underdog between +3½ and +10 points and 1-8 ATS in October. Arkansas State is 6-2 ATS as a chalk; but only 3-9 ATS coming off a bye week, however, that 29th-ranked Arkie State "O" (444 ypg) - plus revenge - decides it!

FIU was definitely outplayed against UCF despite winning and you could argue they shouldn't have won the L'ville game either (my stats slightly favor L'ville in that one).  Meanwhile Ark St played Illinois very well (slightly outplayed), and really have not played a bad game (although I guess FIU hasn't really either).  Think safest play is over.

Sitting out ark st, but am taking over.  Hopefully we can both win, although that might be hard with your ASU under.
