I think this is not true. You not understand what you read. You say under 60? That is not make sense. Starting defense line man of memphis is dead.Then more injuries on defense for marshall. Memphis and marshall allow almost 500 yards every game to opponents and they get about 400 each.

That is no sense at all. You not play under when you see such statistics? Am i right every one? And if we follow the numbers only, i think you still wrong. Everything show in favor of the Marshall thundering herd. If you look at rank of opponents when they play Memphis shows is a weak schedule.

I give example. Marshall is letting teams play  447 yards per game. They play Miami, Westvirginia and Cincy. then lose to Newhampshire too. These 3 teams will beat every team Memphis has played. Ole miss central florida and the Arkansas state are all weak teams. Memphis let them play 414 yards. That is only difference of 34 yards. So the numbers you write tell lie. They no show truth. Is more important you look at how big opponents they face than read numbers about trends. Like your friends say, those trends, they are for weak bettor only.
