CFB 8/29: The weirdest Week Zero game

I finished last year solidly in the black entirely because of a 6-1 +10.0 unit rally in the bowls/playoffs.

1* Eastern Michigan -10

It's strange enough for a Week Zero game but to be a conference game but even stranger that Eastern Michigan vs. Sacramento State IS a conference game.  Sac State was an FCS team last year and has a depleted roster because of transfers.  Brand new coaching staff too.  They only decided to move up to FBS in the spring and the roster isn't ready for it.  Eastern Michigan has 12 returning starters admittedly because most weren't good enough to get big NIL money by transferring.  But the coach is in his 13th year, the QB (Noah Kim) is a returning senior starter.

 I will be shocked if this game stays under 10… eastern mich has some excellent tradition… chance at a great season… starting poorly would be …well poor… line has continued to creep… I think this is best play…if eastern is focused… I think they are -4 second week… at home… so they may wait a week to focus… but I’m playing -9.5..  good luck sir 

I like it. Kind of like in euro soccer where a team gets promoted from the low league to the big league.

Eastern Michigan should win this easily

I have a scenario streaming in my brain that plays out stressful but successful 19-7 in the schittiest of the schitt type game. In my imagining they score a late touchdown to cover after being endlessly in the red zone and coming away with 4 field goals and throwing a 102 yard pick 6 for Sac. State who punted the whole game. I have an active imagination. I hope it is a blowout. Maybe drank too much Yerba Mate yesterday
