Can anyone give some legit points why LSU covers?

FYI in my honest and personal been there experience LSU at home should count as +6 not three points that place is brutal hostile and when the sun sets it is a ultra hostile environment.  You have to experience it if you are a true football fan the place is absolutely nuts on a Saturday night.  Okay I am done best of luck.

Is it what it is. I'm not putting out false information. Ppl cap games like that all the time. Oh, so and so is 4-0 ATS this year when being favored by 3-7 pts. If you dont like it move along. I didn't say LSU would win, but said they had a good chance to cover. YOU have a very good team, but they're walking into the most hostile environment they have been in this year x2. GL.

I agree about Mettenberger. Something isn't right. I went to the spring game and he looked great except for the first series. I keep hearing he is lights out in practice but in these games he looks scared sometimes. If LSU just had a really good QB then they would be so dangerous! Maybe that huge hit he took did affect his mindset. But he is a big guy and if he wants to play at the next level he has to improve big time.

A shitload of drops are affecting Mett so far. Yes he has missed some passes, but there are 20 or so legitimate drops from his WRs; most notably Beckham who was extremely sure-handed last year.

He missed two long TD passes vs A&M two weeks ago, but he was throwing deep passes with a stiff wind that missed a couple of guys by a few yards. The passes he did throw going into the wind were much better: Boone's pass before the half and a drop by Landry on a fade.

When he puts the ball in the receiver's hands they must catch it, and it's been an on-going issue through the 1st half of the season.

Tough to cap a game by stats.. but here is the offensive output with offensive points scored for both teams

LSU averages 31             Bama averages 40.6

now lets see those numbers against conference opponents

LSU drops to 16              Bama averages 41.2

LSU has only played 1 conference game at home.. Cocks, and scored 23 and gave up 21

Bama went on the road three times in conference. Arky, Mizz, and Tenn and the combined numbers were 88 to 23

Revenge, Baton Rogue at night, giving Miles an extra week to gameplan... I just don't see it... hell he had alot longer than a week to gameplan for the Championship game, and that didn't help...

Everyone knows in this series that anything can happen, but this year the gap between the two teams is much larger than in years past. LSU is still a good team, just not where they were last season, and Bama is playing at a highr level than last season.

LSU- TA&M, UF, USCe, and AU
Bama- MSU, Tenn, Mizzou, Ole Miss and Ark

A&M, USCe, and UF would beat all of Bama SEC opponents so far.

there is no reason because giving reason's mean's nothing LSU will win this game outright LSU at the snake pit at night is a real hard team to beat gl goodnight

I hate the gumps more than anyone else.  All seven points you posted are legit.

LSU's offense isn't vanilla, it's piss poor!  Most high school teams have better offensive game plans than LSU.  Remember the BCS game in January?  Has the offense performed any better than it did in the last three games of last season?  The only difference is we aren't running the option.  Which, by the way, led to the putrid offense versus Arkansas, Georgia and Alabama in the last three games.

Les had a month to prepare and it appeared that he and the coaching staff took off for the holidays.  Les can't or won't do in two weeks what he couldn't do in four weeks for the biggest game of his coaching career.

Saturday night in Tiger Stadium will have zero affect on the gumps.  Superior head coach, superior coaching, superior game preparation and equal talent will cover the ten points.

Better double-check the latest injury reports. Appears that 3 LSU OL are listed as probable for Saturday. Williford, Dworaczyk, and Lonergan.

Bama wont be bothered by that, I remember about 10 years ago my UAB Blazers went down to "death valley" and got a win, tell me how that happened, it happened. Crowd cant play for them and a well coached and talented bama wont be too bothered by it.

AJ McCarron has only played TWO games vs LSU.

AJ has never played in Tiger Stadium.

Conversley, Chavis has never coached against a Nussmeier offense.

"Bama is 1-3 in Tiger Stadium in the last 10 years. (win in OT)"
I looked at the rosters, and I didn't see a single player on either team that played in the 2002 through 2008 games.

LSU played ONE respectable defense on the road (Florida) and lost.

Again, I checked the rosters, and I didn't see a single player on either team that played in the 2002 through 2008 games.

Don't get me wrong.  I believe LSU can cover 10 and even win this game,  IF (this is a big if)  Mettenberger throws for over 200 yards and at least 2 TDs.

I liked Bama until I see almost everyone on them.  This reminds me of Oklahoma last week and WVU v Texas Tech a few weeks back.

Another Covers bloodbath?

Public was all over the Patriots as well this past weekend. That was my first max bet of the NFL season. The public wins just as much as the so called "sharps"!!!

Can u tell me how bad LSU really is??? honestly, they lost by 8 in the swamp when minter and fellow lb went out. they punched S.carolina in the mouth after the Game Spurrior commented " now is see why these guys were preseason number 1." Beat the aggies the next week... LSU sucks.. btw if Odell holds onto the ball who knows? these guys have pride man.... they got humilated in the bcs game.. monty,mingo,bennie, the freak, minter, Reid,Loston u dont think these guys arent going to fight till the death?? there going to sellout man...
