That fucking MAC school hasn't tasted bowl success in eternities.  Do you know how bad that program has been? UCLA, meanwhile, needed some help to get here.  How excited do you think UCLA is to be playing a fucking MAC school? I do know--FOR A FACT--that Temple is ecstatic to be playing a school like UCLA.

The funny thing is as bad as the big ten is they are gonna have some winners because some of these other conferences suck too.  Iowa, Wisconsin, and OSU will all win

That is not perception, that is reality ( All except the poor coaching)...which is not entirely true. Tressel isnt horrible, he is just a conservative box and it costs his team chances for plays during the game. You're supposed to play to win the game....Tressel Ball is playing to not lose.... ....its kinda like the prevent defense of coaching..... only bends for so long then it shatters....

Also, Ohio St didnt win that NCG vs Miami on the field.....bail out city....

Great read bro, what's your reasoning on the S Fla play ?  They almost always top my "most gutless" list- and now they are playing in the freaking international bowl of cherries vs N Illinois.  I don't see why in the fuck they care.

Hope you have a great bowl season 'Hoo.

so double, you base your whole opinion on Colt McCoy on what happened against Nebraska, even though despite getting no significant blocking from the O line drove his team down the field with less two minutes to kick the winning field goal...you don't evaluate his career win/loss record, wins against OU, Nebraska, and almost everyone else?

for someone who spends entirely too much time evaluating college football and generally not very well, you come across an amateur...

2 TCU   Like I have Been Saying for 7+ Weeks ..Might be  the Best team in the Country ?? Should not be Playing a Rematch vs Boise St... Guess NO BCS Schools WANTED to LOSE to either the Horned Frogs or Broncos

3 Texas    AGree , but they looks so Soft on the O-Line and Lack of a True Running Game will cost them any Chance vs Tide

4 Cincy   Might not Match Up Well vs Physical Gators...Florida Rushing Props should be a Godd play... should be Playing Boise St

5 Florida Might be the #2nd  or 3rd Best team in the Country ...Wish they were Playing TCU

6 Boise St. Would Have Liked to see the Broncos Play Cincinnati

7 Oregon Yeppp ... should Rape Ohio St.... Just Too Many Waepons ....

8 Georgia Tech???? Why The Defense Takes alot of Plays Off...Stanford-Arizona-Oregon St and Several others PAC 10 Foes (Many SEC Foes) Would beat Tech by 13+ most of the time

9 Ohio St.... Might not be in the Best 15 Teams in the Country !!! Horrible Matchup vs Ducks

10 Iowa ??   Hats off to Ferentz and Staff getting the Hawkeyes to a BCS Bowl esoecially after Losing BOTH stud DT's and the Weapons on Offense... That being Said I would Take Most teams in Your TOP 30 to beat Iowa

    Conference Ratings (top 5)

Pac10    Agree ...Really Loaded with Teams that Can Beat you on any Given Saturday... Plenty of Talent and Top Level Coaching  Staffs with Riley-PC-Kelly-Sark-Tedford--Harbaugh--etc...

SEC   Most Likely the Best , but they are a Little Overrated this year.... Should be Insane next year with Mississippi St Having a TON of Value

BigEast   Not Easy to Win at 5+ Teams in the BIG EAST... Love them in the INTERNATIONAL BOWL as a rule on OVER Rushing Props(Thanks Thorpe)

Big12   Really Down this year IMNHO... Especially Considering the Preseason Hype .... Might be the WEAKEST BIG 12 in 5+ Years

ACC Might be Better than the BIG12...UNC+BC+Clemson+Miami+Va Tech+Ga Tech

    Heisman Trophy Race

Ingram (flip flopped from last week) Why not Right ... Ran all Over Gators/// ALSO Hard NOT to PUT DT SUH with the Trophy but Defensive Players have alsmot NO CHANCE

McCoy (flip flopped from last week)  Nope. Can't wait to see him get thrown around like a Rag Doll worse than vs The Huskers... Very hard to Beat Out the White QB with Stats ...

Spiller   Nice Highlight REEL and insane Number of Long runs and Special teams Records.... But I Like  GERHART MUCH BETTER

Thought I would Comment and Talk Over some CFB and add to your Above info ...

Or is that Allowed Brother ???

      Just Kidding

LOve reading your Threads and Usually Agree with Most of what you Say...

Brother Not seeing Eye to Eye on teams or Matchups Can WIN US ALL some NICE COIN

All the OSU bashing seems to be catching on, but this is a VERY solid defensive team(5th in NCAA in YPG and points allowed), which will give a very good oregon offense its biggest test of the year.  I take nothing away from the Ducks, but I think the wrong team is favored here.  As a reminder, how many teams have been in more BCS games than OSU?  None.  How many teams have won more BCS games? One.   This will be the Ducks 1st visit to a BCS, and they will obviously be excited for it.  I just fail to see how their 1st trip to a big bowl game in about 8 years.

I know the PAC10 is a huge conference of course b/c the 2nd best team gets that big Holiday bowl bid.  Ohio St also has now heard about this new "forward pass" thing and might put in a few of these trick plays instead of their slow, FB dive play that they run 40 times a game.  And maybe someday the Buckeyes can get some of their slow, untalented players into the NFL like all those 'big' PAC10 schools like Oregon do.  Buckeyes are clearly overmatched here, so hopefully they can appeal to coach Kelly's better nature and he won't run up the score.

Those numbers are from playing horrible offenses in the Big 10, plain and simple. If Ohio St played in the SEC, Big 12 or Pac 10 would they be 5th in the nation in those defensive categories??

If your answer is anything but "absolutely not", then I can no longer talk to you because you are 100% void of intelligence.

why do people give their own writeups and continue to argue in my threads?  I just don't get it, make your own thread people, I promise starting your own thread is well within the rules of the forum

this is the biggest problem with the season I have had, I have a bad year and all of a sudden I need advice, all of a sudden I get other people's writeups in my thread, two years ago nobody even bothered bringing that garbage in my threads, I can't wait to start winning again so I can go back to being an arrogant jerk and a prick, after all, that is my true nature

you always make great points TSW and thanks for replying, I never see you around anymore like the old days

my take on the game is

South Florida has played in what I consider a good conference, Northern's conference is a joke (look at the MAC bowl games from last year)

South Florida has better athletes and I think Northern will struggle to score against the defensive line of USF, and while they probably don't care about playing the game, I'm almost certain they will not lose to Northern Illinois just off talent alone, I think them winning by a touchdown or more is very probable, just my opinion

Guys , I understand the bias against the Big 10, I get it. They haven't been as strong as the SEC lately, but it isn't like any of the other conferences blow them away either. For someone to say that the Big 10 offenses are low scoring is just idiotic. Many of the teams, especially the lower rung teams, score a lot and give up a lot of points. The totals are routinely in the 50's , and this is with much of the season being played in cold weather. I understand that the SEC and Pac 10 have these big TV contracts, and nobody is watching the Big 10 games much, but these preconcived notions are just the reason why so many are losing gamblers. They just can't get over what they "think" they know...

    WahooS
I have always respected your threads and  continue to appreciate your seasoned insight.  My question is how you can be so confident that the Ducks will play the kind of ball necessary to stymie a perennial  Bowl powerhouse like OSU, especially given the fact that Tressel has seems to benefit from long layoffs (almost 5 weeks I think his Buckeyes are resting.)  I personally agree with you jumping on the Ducks but my problem with them is their inconsistency.  If the Oregon that beat up USC and smashed Cal shows up, I'm totally with that.  But I have my doubts about which Ducks show up.   I guess my question to you would be is the Oregon-3 play your favorite of all bowl games?  I am leaning towards the FLA -10 game being the best of all bowl plays, but I'm a mere tyro compared with you....Thanks
