Spaziani and these boys always play hard and usually do fairly well vs the run. Theyve also had an extra weeks rest.

the USC players don't care about playing in this bowl, Pete isn't going to get them fired up and the line is somewhat high, that being said, the ACC is a bad conference this year and Boston College performed horribly away from home this season, the game should be very low scoring which would make me lean to the dog but USC just has such better athletes than Boston College that I would very hesitant to feel like I had a great bet, I will not be betting this game bro, but a 17-10 USC win wouldn't surprise me one bit

    Current Bowl Card

    1. Oregon - 2.5
    2. Rutgers -2
    3. Ole Miss - 2.5
    4. LSU + 3.5 (hook)
    5. S. Fla - 6
    6. Oreg St. - 2
    7. Sou Miss - 3 (hook)
    8. Kentucky + 7
    9. Arkansas - 7 (hook)

card is growing rapidly, I will be on more dogs but waiting for better lines, not even sure I will keep Oregon St. but I grabbed the line now in case because I think it goes up to 3 or higher, I won't be around for a few days and will answer insults or questions at a later date

    best of luck

their run is going strong with McCluster now and Snead played well in the bowl game last season, I just think Ole Miss is in a great spot to beat a "down on their luck" Okie St squad that had their eyes set on a BCS bowl, all they needed was a win over their rival, they got exposed and blown out, they will not care about this game as much as Ole Miss and Nutt will, I think Ole Miss wins easily

This is a rare first Wahoo...you and I see identically, with the exception of Rutgers. Lean UCF, but would need 4.

I'm scared   This NEVER happens. We usually agree on a couple, disagree on 1.5, and that's it.

I'm on half those already and will be on all of them eventually. I hope I don't mush you

    2. Rutgers -2
    3. Iowa + 4
    4. Ole Miss - 2.5
    5. LSU + 3.5 (hook)
    6. S. Fla - 6
    7. Oreg St. - 2
    8. Sou Miss - 3 (hook)
    9. Kentucky + 7
    10. Arkansas - 7 (hook)

the Iowa line moved exactly where I wanted it, didn't even bother to buy the hook, up to 10 plays now

I knew when the matchup was set I was gonna bet Oregon, it would just depend on the spread with regards to how much, I would lay 7 here if I had too, but I knew with the respect a program like Ohio State gets that the line would be short, the Buckeyes have alot more history and a much more storied program than the Ducks, both teams will be extremely motivated here, one team just happens to be much better than the other in my opinion, I love the situation and the matchup for the Ducks

the Ducks have a month to prepare how to load the box and stop the Buckeye ground game, it isn't possible for Pryor to beat them through the air so it is a simple gameplan, so if they can hang around early then they should blow it open in the 2nd half and win by a few scores, just my opinion

    Agree with you 1000%....

The Ducks having a  Month to prepare for the Buckeyes boring offense will help ... and yes there is NO WAY Richard Pryor beats them through Air

Ohio St. will always have their Backers/bettors... The Oddsmakers know that and I truly believe that this line is about 3 or 4 points too Low for that reason... Why would they give up Ohio St. Value when they know they will get all the action they want at 3-3.5

a very good point most "line readers" don't consider... if a book feels strongly about a side and also thinks they are gonna get action on the other side no matter where they put a line, they will shade it slightly to create a cushion on the side they are backing... why inflate the line against themselves?

having said that... i do agree that is the case with Ohio St (as it is with Texas, USC or most high profile programs), i don't necessarily think Oregon has that big of an edge in the Rose Bowl... (-4) seems about right to me...

Actually one is getting excellent value on Ohio st at +3.5. Oddsmakers know that plumbers will line up for Oregon. They know all that people will remember is that OSU got killed in their last 2 title games. (not that it has any real relevance here) They know that plumbers are thinking that the Big 10 has not had much success in the Rose bowl lately, although that is mostly due to USC playing in them. You factort his in and books may think that OSU is actually the slightly higher rated team here, and you are getting about 5 extra points w/ OSu here.

Sound advise....I especially like # 2.  Nobody knows the outcomes of these games and there is no worse feeling then being on the right side and than second guessing yourself and ultimatley end up losing.  Card looks strong...lean to several of the same plays.  Lets finish strong

Ohio St. will always have their Backers/bettors... The Oddsmakers know that and I truly believe that this line is about 3 or 4 points too Low for that reason... Why would they give up Ohio St. Value when they know they will get all the action they want at 3-3.5

    [/Quote]

Respect your opinions but disagree here.  The perception is that OSU is slow, poorly coached, does not have athletes like the SEC or PAC-10, comes from a bad conference with poor OOC schedules.  They could have made it 6 and still got alot of public Oregon money.  Maybe the linesmakers know Ohio State is gonna make a statement heading into next year.

The funny thing is as bad as the big ten is they are gonna have some winners because some of these other conferences suck too.  Iowa, Wisconsin, and OSU will all win

    comment was meant for double...

OSU was dominated by a bad ass USC team last year.  Dominated by 2 SEC teams who dominated the lines of scrimmage.

Oregon has neither of these things.  Oregon has a flashy offense and a subpar defense.

    1. Oregon - 2.5
    2. Rutgers -2
    3. Iowa + 4
    4. Ole Miss - 2.5
    5. LSU + 3.5 (hook)
    6. S. Fla - 6
    7. Oreg St. - 2
    8. West Virginia - 2
    9. Sou Miss - 3 (hook)
    10. Kentucky + 7
    11. Arkansas - 7 (hook)

add WVU, just can't see FSU beating them without Ponder and with that laughable defense, considering about 5 more games, will probably start adding soon
