Crappy season Hoo (speaking about the season overall, not your record). Hoping we can both do well in the bowls, but I'll say right now these match-ups don't tickle my nuts much.

Think a lot of good gamblers have had sub par seasons...I am still relatively new to all this, but I think this season sucked. These teams are all so mediocre and the inconsistency overall made it a choppy season to bet. Hoping this is just one of those seasons that maybe happens once every 8-10 years, but I've only been around for 4 so I have no ability to say if it is or isn't.

Where in the hell did you get Oregon -3? I'd love to get down on that ASAP.  Bookmaker's had 3.5 since 9:30 EST when I first checked in with their spreads.

I agree with your thoughts wholeheartedly on Oregon.  I'm just a little concerned with what the layoff might do to the well-oiled machine that is their offense.

BOL this bowl season my friend!

    • don't get caught up in the lines, Vegas doesn't know anything in regards to the outcomes, the Bowl Game lines are much like the 1st week of each season where the oddsmakers don't have a great feel either and they are only trying to draw even action, the games aren't rigged, the lines aren't fishy (don't talk stupid)
    • don't let the computer be your enemy, with all the time between these games the worst thing you can do is read everyone's opinions on lines and outcomes, bet what you like when the lines open and stay off the computer, otherwise you will 2nd guess yourself, bet games you wouldn't have that lose and pass up games you should have won, I see it every year, guys start threads whining and bitching about they let someone talk them into a loser
    • matchup the conferences and motivation factor for each game and decide which team wants to be there, situational capping is huge in bowl games (like Utah vs. Bama last year & Boise vs. OU)

     Outstanding advice

2 TCU   Like I have Been Saying for 7+ Weeks ..Might be  the Best team in the Country ?? Should not be Playing a Rematch vs Boise St... Guess NO BCS Schools WANTED to LOSE to either the Horned Frogs or Broncos

3 Texas    AGree , but they looks so Soft on the O-Line and Lack of a True Running Game will cost them any Chance vs Tide

4 Cincy   Might not Match Up Well vs Physical Gators...Florida Rushing Props should be a Godd play... should be Playing Boise St

5 Florida Might be the #2nd  or 3rd Best team in the Country ...Wish they were Playing TCU

6 Boise St. Would Have Liked to see the Broncos Play Cincinnati

7 Oregon Yeppp ... should Rape Ohio St.... Just Too Many Waepons ....

8 Georgia Tech???? Why The Defense Takes alot of Plays Off...Stanford-Arizona-Oregon St and Several others PAC 10 Foes (Many SEC Foes) Would beat Tech by 13+ most of the time

9 Ohio St.... Might not be in the Best 15 Teams in the Country !!! Horrible Matchup vs Ducks

10 Iowa ??   Hats off to Ferentz and Staff getting the Hawkeyes to a BCS Bowl esoecially after Losing BOTH stud DT's and the Weapons on Offense... That being Said I would Take Most teams in Your TOP 30 to beat Iowa

    Conference Ratings (top 5)

Pac10    Agree ...Really Loaded with Teams that Can Beat you on any Given Saturday... Plenty of Talent and Top Level Coaching  Staffs with Riley-PC-Kelly-Sark-Tedford--Harbaugh--etc...

SEC   Most Likely the Best , but they are a Little Overrated this year.... Should be Insane next year with Mississippi St Having a TON of Value

BigEast   Not Easy to Win at 5+ Teams in the BIG EAST... Love them in the INTERNATIONAL BOWL as a rule on OVER Rushing Props(Thanks Thorpe)

Big12   Really Down this year IMNHO... Especially Considering the Preseason Hype .... Might be the WEAKEST BIG 12 in 5+ Years

ACC Might be Better than the BIG12...UNC+BC+Clemson+Miami+Va Tech+Ga Tech

    Heisman Trophy Race

Ingram (flip flopped from last week) Why not Right ... Ran all Over Gators/// ALSO Hard NOT to PUT DT SUH with the Trophy but Defensive Players have alsmot NO CHANCE

McCoy (flip flopped from last week)  Nope. Can't wait to see him get thrown around like a Rag Doll worse than vs The Huskers... Very hard to Beat Out the White QB with Stats ...

Spiller   Nice Highlight REEL and insane Number of Long runs and Special teams Records.... But I Like  GERHART MUCH BETTER

Florida is easily the #2 team in the country, and number 3 is a long way behind them.  I know everybody wants to elevate TCU to national championship status, but when you signature win is a 14-10 road win against Clemson, I'm incredulous.  I believe there are probably 6 SEC teams and probably 3 or 4 PAC 10 teams that would beat TCU.  Be that as it may, they will beat Boise convincingly IMO.

I disagree that Nebraska's defense isn't one of the best.  It is top 5 in the country in my opinion.  Look at what they did to oklahoma and virginia tech.  Totally bottled both those teams up too.  Texas Tech didn't do ANYTHING on offense either, those pts they put up were very deceiving.

Not to say those other teams wouldn't put up more pts than texas did.  But I think people are underrating what Nebraska's defense has done this year.  It has been right there behind florida, alabama, tcu, and texas.

Thoughts on Cincy/Florida? Anything over 10 pts for Cincy looks good imo as Kelly will make Tebow throw to beat them

I pounded Cincy +10.5 (well as much as they'll let me), I'm afraid it will fall below +10 before they'll let me bet anymore.

You obviously haven't watched Cincy play, because there is very little about this team that looks good.  This is easily the biggest mismatch of the bowl season.  I think I'm being generous to Cincy by predicting a final score of 56-21 because Florida will probably score more, and Cincy will probably score less.  Tebow should be able to get all the jump pass TDs he desires.

    BOL during bowl season Wahoo.

Wanted to chime in on your heisman picks.  If Gerhart and Keenum dont get invited to the party, in my opinion you can simply flush whatever and whomever is selected down the toilet.    Both of these guys are so far ahead of Ingram and McCoy respectively it is not even funny.   And if you are truly talking about the best player, it has to be Keenum.   Without him Houston is 3 - 10 instead of 10-3.   You can't say that about any of the other candidates.    I know the Heisman is a bullshit award that means nothing, but at some point you have to start inviting guys that aren't on top 5 rated teams.    Simply unfair.

Keenum and Gerhart are legitamit heisman winners but I agree they will get overlooked because of the Big Name school bias which is bullshit. Either of these guys is deserving.

Good stuff, as always.   I think your top-10 is bascially right on, though I'd probably flip UF and Cincy.  What you're about to do to these bowl lines is illegal in several states.

Good luck on your plays.  I always respect your opinions.  I hate to jump into a thread and go the other way, but I will be on OSU big vs Oregon.  You talked about Oregon having a month to prepare for loading the box, but fail to account for the fact that they will get pushed around on both sides of the line.  OSU's defensive line will dominate this game and so will their offensive line, leaving holes for OSU running backs.  This will open up the pass and from what I gathered watching Oregon this year, you don't need a great QB to put up points on them.  Good luck with your play.  one of us will be really happy.

this guy is clueless, and notice on some games he will give himslef an extra point, and even with that he is a losing capper. Notice also how this tool doesn't list the Big 10 as in his top 5 conferences, w3hich is a joke, becuase the Big east and ACC this year are generally terrible, and the Big 12 has had it's worst year by far this year. (see the Big 12 title game) The Pac 10 after the Oregon teams, Cal, USC, and Zona and Stanford, is terrible. I do know this, the Big 10 is in the middle of the pack of conferences, and their worst teams, Minny, NW, Purdue, Mich, etc, are better than most conf. bad teams, and certainly better than garbage teams like Maryland, UVA, NC St, Wa St, Louisv., Cuse, Baylor Kansas, etc. The Big east and ACC are garbage IMO, and there are probably many teams that would have went unbeaten in those conferences if they had played in those conf.

Godfather is not only delusional, he is now schizophrenic, acting interested in Wahoo all year and now pouncing on him like a little fucking box weasel. Do you post plays every week? No, you don't. All you do is continually make an ASS of yourself touting Ohio State football, so you have no room to criticize someone who has been posting winning plays for years.

And you again show how delusional you are if you think Minnesota, Purdue, NW, Michigan, Illinois, and Indiana are better than the bottom of other conferences. You left out Indiana from you B11 list, a team that got smashed 47-0 at UVA, a team you listed BTW dipshit. Then you list Cal as being terrible, but they went TO Minnesota, with Decker and fully healthy, and beat them by 14. So was that a fluke? Did Minny just play poorly that day, since Cal sucks and Minny and Purdue et al are better than most conferences' bad teams?

You are such a fucking tool.

You should go harass Jeff Sagarin as well. Here are his conference ratings:

CONFERENCE CENTRAL MEAN SIMPLE AVERAGE TEAMS

    1 SOUTHEASTERN (A) = 81.00 81.40 ( 1) 12
    2 PAC-10 (A) = 79.32 78.24 ( 2) 10
    3 ATLANTIC COAST (A) = 76.34 76.26 ( 3) 12
    4 BIG EAST (A) = 76.25 76.22 ( 4) 8
    5 BIG 12 (A) = 74.69 75.12 ( 5) 12
    6 BIG TEN (A) = 72.46 72.83 ( 6) 11
Notice the Big10 is not in the top 5 here either...not by central mean nor by simple average. Face it, your conference sucks.

wow, Godfather, all season I have been very civil with you and thought you were okay to talk to even though our opinions are clearly different

I do get good lines bro because I know what I'm doing and I have had a rough year, but don't let that confuse you, I'm still up more over my career than probably anyone you have ever met

I offered you a side wager last week on the Oregon/Ohio St game bro, that was before I even knew who would play the Buckeyes, I offered $3000 straight up wager, you turned that bet down so you didn't have your money tied up for a month?  No offense, but anyone who can't tie up $3000 for a month probably doesn't need to be giving me advice regarding college football, there is a reason it wouldn't phase me to bet the game now, that reason is I have won so much money in my life betting sports, there is a great chance I don't need advice

not sure why you decided to take a shot at me today, but rest assured that your Buckeyes will once again lose a big game

when are you going to post your plays so I can criticize your record?

    yours truly,

    deeeeeeeeeeeep pockets

wow, Godfather, all season I have been very civil with you and thought you were okay to talk to even though our opinions are clearly different

I think the majority of people will bet on Oregon, and I have a feeling that Ohio State covers and probably wins this game.  Not trying to be a wise-ass, but I feel that Ohio State has the better QB.  Ohio State is really underrated, and people think they suck cause they always squeak by teams, but this Ohio State knows what it takes to win the Rose Bowl and Oregon will have jitters.  Just my 2 cents.  Take it for what it's worth, but Ohio State to win or at least cover in the Rose Bowl seems like a good play to me.

I agree with your thoughts wholeheartedly on Oregon.  I'm just a little concerned with what the layoff might do to the well-oiled machine that is their offense.

BOL this bowl season my friend!
the best line out there was Oregon - 2 , it was available at 5dimes for a while, 3 was available at Bookmaker and will be again, buckeye backers will keep that line respectable for both sides
