Boise vs. Georgia
that is insinuating UGA has a good defense though..
And who would you be more comfortable with..
a dude that's 37-2 as a starter and has proven to beat good competition?
Or a soph that led his team to a 6-7 season and has ? marks and just about all the skill positions and on defense..

Really?
So what you're saying is this UGA's defense will be the BEST Kellen Moore has faced in his career?
Plus, let's be honest here.. Murray didn't beat 1 team over .500 LY..
Who cares if he plays better competition if he doesn't beat any of them..
Kellen has proven he can beat good teams.. Murray hasn't..

SatNightFever- i have tried not to insult you just because we have differing opinions- but it is getting harder and harder. You listed V. Tech and Oregon as schools Moore did well against. Sorry but i would hardly say that Oregon is known for having a good defense. Let's see- Moore is 39-2 as a starter:
And you say his stats aren't as skewed by playing these teams, year in and year out: San Jose St., Fresno St., New Mexico St., Toledo, Utah St., Hawaii, Idaho, UC Davis, Nevada, Louisiana Tech, etc, etc.
Hardly SEC caliber teams and certainly not SEC caliber defenses. I'm not saying Moore is not good but please quit smoking the "fanboy" ganja-
The game should be a good one and we can make points all day long for each team. We'll find out soon enough and i can't wait!!!

I think if Boise St. wins this game it will be because they are better coached and more disciplined at all positions. The QB play should be good for each team.
Corley- you make a great point. TCU is the best defense Moore has faced. And he was 22 of 39 for 211yds. Good stats indeed. Once again, not here to argue Kellen Moore isn't good, but to say his stats were not skewed is just plain wrong.

1- there's no need for name calling.. I have one opinion.. others have different ones.. no worries.. just good discussion..
2- I never said Moore's stats are not skewed, quite the opposite in fact.. just went through the "big boys" and his stats because who cares if he threw for 400 yards vs SJSU..
3- You say Oregon isn't know for good D, but in 2009, they finished #32 in total D and VT last year finished #40 in total D
4- we are forgetting the 2 games against TCU, who each year has had a top 5 defense
Listen- you can mock Moore all you want for the majority of teams he faces, but going 37-2 as a starter is insane, regardless of who you're playing, not to mention, every time one of the big boys came calling, Boise and Moore found ways to win..

Better talent yes..
Better overall defense.. not a chance..

Of course, clearly if you don't play in the SEC you aren't good and don't play anyone...

Boise wins because they are the better team and Richt does less with more than any other coach in the country..

SatNIght- i didn't resort to name calling. And yes, i agree good discussion is a good thing among cappers. In the end, that is what we are all here for- to cap and make $$$$. Again, i am not knocking Moore or the Boise program. I've stated many times the respet i have for the program and the fact that i think Moore is a good QB. All we can do is agree to disagree on who we think will win the game. Good luck- i am sure we will be on the same side of many other games this year!

While i respect the Boise St. program and what they have acheived, i just can't believe the amount of people who are blinded by the fact that year in and year out their schedule is full of more cupcakes than Andy Reid.
No one is calling for Boise to be in the NT game if they win.. They do only play 2-3 good games per year.. but the fact is, they win those..
But you've got to be blind not to realize the teams Boise has beaten over the last 3 years have all been better than this UGA team..

yea, what am I missing..
31 to Arkansas
29 to Colorado
31 to Kentucky
34 to Florida
49 to Auburn
34 to GT
Sure they played way tougher teams.. that I agree with.. but you're basing it off that a SEC team MUST have a better defense than Boise cause they have better athletes.. and that's incorrect..

Georgia simply has more talent than Boise State. If you don't believe me, then look at both team's recruiting class in the past few years. Georgia has been getting solid 4 to 5 star recruits whereas Boise has been lucky to get a few 3 star recruits. Does talent mean everything? No, but it can be a huge factor in outcome of a game. I'll certainly give Boise the coaching edge, Richt simply has not been very good in previous years and the bulldogs are undisciplined when the game is on the line. Home field advantage goes to Georgia, the game is in the "Georgia Dome". What really scares me is that Georgia has blown games to colorado and UCF, while Boise has won, narrowly but nonetheless big games ( TCU, VT ). And I can't back Boise because of the talent disparity and the loss of their star WRs ( Young, Pettis ). The fact that AJ green is gone should also be noted. Georgia's offensive output is significantly better with AJ on the field. I feel that Boise State also has the QB advantage.
Overall this is a game I will not bet, but if I had to I would reluctantly make a wager on Georgia. But seriously guys, why wager on this when you can play Miss ST and watch a major asswhooping.

Laroja-
Agreed- i am already on Miss. St. - Got it at 27 1/2- i think they come close to covering that by halftime. Hopefully they run up the score to improve their ranking!
